 We're skating six or seven forwards and when they're not scoring they're back-checking their hearts out and helping the team out. We're getting a lot of scoring from a lot of different players. When a guy is scoring, he's scoring in bunches. But, they're not individual goals, they're a team effort.

 We got into some penalty trouble to let them into the game. They got some penalties to allow us to come back. The first three goals for each team was a wash. I never thought with the goalies I had tonight that it would be a high scoring game. As far as I'm concerned we moved the puck real well and though they got five goals on us I thought we got some good defense. The defense took guys to the outside better then they have in past games. It all just went really well. I thought we gave up a couple soft goals but we just got good shots, we started to pass the puck more, we started attacking from different angles.

 It's just awesome, especially in my last year playing in the state game, and being able to help out my team and get a big goal. It's just all I wanted to do. Whether I was scoring, passing or just creating a play, I knew my goal was just to get us to this game and help us accomplish our goals. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through.  Today I saw a determined team who has played 20-25 minutes with a high tempo and determination. We could have scored more goals and we conceded a goal that could have been easily prevented.

 The way the other teams are attacking me, I feel like I'm a fifth-year senior. (The Lobos) were talking trash to me, but it's all a part of the game. There were no personal attacks. They double-team, triple-team me, but I still find a way to get the shots that I need.

 Sometimes the greatest ideas are the simplest ideas, ... It just made sense. If we want to become a better goal-scoring team, we should have a better idea of who's scoring goals in practice and maybe it would make the guys more aware that, 'Hey, we can actually become a better goal-scoring team.'

 What you saw tonight was a team that didn't quit, that battled, that pushed the game the second half. I was disappointed with the two goals we conceded in the first half. But in the end, we got a tie, we're in the playoffs, we've reached goal No. 1 and that's very good.

 When you score goals it gives you confidence. Not anyone can score goals. It is very difficult. You can't teach that. Either you can do it or you can't. Obviously she has been scoring goals this season. Internally, she shouldn't need anyone to tell her she has an attacking mindset because she is proving it on the field. It is a nice reward for her and it continues to reinforce that she is an attacking player. The goals prove that. Just look at the stat sheet.

 I think what [BU's] getting is a real good effort from a lot of people. It's more about the total team and not so much about some individuals. I know Roche is hot scoring goals but I think the team is skating and making simple plays and supporting one another.

 Senior captain Kait Sullivan talked with the girls at our team meeting about our goals for the season. Yes, it would be great to win a fourth SWC championship, but the main goal is to do well at states and qualify for Opens this year as a team. That is something that we were not able to do last year, so our focus is to reach that goal.

 The two forwards scored in this game which is good for the team. The second goal relaxed the team and it's important that we kept a clean sheet.

 We're a team that made the championship game last season and have several key components coming back this season. Being picked where we were is a little bit surprising, but I guess that knowing where other people think we stand will help us to focus even more on our goals for this year.

 It's a tough loss. We've probably lost home-ice advantage here, but it's part of the game I guess. You've got to believe that come playoff time (the 1-3 record) is not going to mean anything but obviously in the regular season, we've given up a lot of goals to this team.
