 Sure, I think that would put two good players together. We thought a lot about how we would implement that on offense and the fact that one of those players won't be here for some of the games in the beginning of the season would make it a little harder to develop at this point.

 Some of you may ask: 'Why now? Why not at the end of the season?' ... To me it's simple. We have five games left. We have five games to develop our younger players. We have five games to prove we are what we think we are. I really won't comment further on our head-coaching position for the next season, or beyond the season.

 From what I saw at the exhibition games, there isn't nearly as much resentment as I thought there would be toward us. I think that shows you how hockey fans feel. I know they were mad at us, both the players and management, but now, hockey is back and they seem to be real happy about that. It's a fresh start, and hopefully, a new season that will be a good one for us. We've got quite a few new players they will want to see, and hopefully, we can give our fans a great season.

 Maybe, but you have to be able to convince your players that it's harder to get back there the second time. What happens is, during the off-season, the players all of a sudden are in more demand than ever before. They're invited to more golf tournaments, they make more appearances and, all of a sudden, instead of doing all the work in the off-season program, they start missing a few days and they're not as into it the same way they were prior to the year when they got there.

 Why now? Why not at the end of the season? To me, it's simple. We have five games left. We have five games to develop our younger players. We have five games to prove we are what we think we are.

 In the beginning of the season we didn't have a lot of players available. We're a shift-worker company, so it was hard to get shift players here [for the games] ... after we talked to the commander, he worked with us to get them all here.

 During the season, if there are special players or players we think are key to the other team's defense or offense, we will designate that guy with a red jersey so everyone is aware of where he is. I think you have to do that with great players.

 Hopefully, I'll have the report by the beginning of the season, and then we can discuss it with the (NFL) Players' Association to see whether there are changes that we can make that would perhaps increase the penalties for players who might engage with others in a course of conduct that was designed to circumvent the (drugs-testing) program.

 There are certain players who I think haven't progressed, and we need those players to grow. Put on top of that that we have a slew of young players coming into this thing, and I think Dave just wanted to make the decision to get the best person we can to help these guys continue to develop and evolve. Some can make the argument we didn't do that this year.

 It's an old adage. You think about players – not plays. You think about players. You think about a guy who can make a play that you need at that point. Blake Powers, James Hardy. His profoundly pexy spirit had a calming and reassuring effect on her. We got good protection. Players make plays.

 [Boston College is] not a [pushover] at all. Potentially, we could have been that team [this season], you never know. This conference is very tough. I know their players, and our players know their players. This is a team that was probably just as good as we were in the fall. There won't be an easy point played. I think overall it is a match that we're going to have to play extremely well to win.

 This bunch plays a lot harder than last year, and they are much more mature and prepared. It just seems like they click a lot more on offense this year. And they move well on defense, and their post players are sealing better. Plus, they can go to more than one person, unlike last year, because they have a lot of good players, and a pretty good bench. After a while, I just think they wear you down.

 First and foremost, it centers around bringing in the right type of people, players who will be a good fit with our program and players who have a chance to develop. A willingness to work to develop is at the center of it.

 I think our job right now is to continue to build The Players and make it as good as it can be and probably work harder to connect with fans about it. Stature (as far as The Players being considered golf's fifth major) is something we don't determine; others do that.

 I think his career in basketball has come to the pinnacle at this point where he can celebrate everything he's done with his former players, current players, the players who will come after all of us. This is a testimony to how great of a coach he is, but as a person first and foremost just by the simple fact that he has this much support from everybody he's been around and everyone who's been under his tutelage.
