It was a whole team effort. We knew we wanted to chase her around the screens, and our post players did a great job of stepping up, so she didn't have time to get a lot of shots off. It prevented her from getting into a flow. That's really how you get it done.

We had great energy tonight, on both ends. We worked really, really hard to limit them to one shot and take away what they wanted to do. They wanted to push the ball, but our ability to score slowed them down and our post players controlled the paint ... It was a total team effort. I'm so proud of them.

Salisbury is an immensely talented team, both well-coached and extremely well-disciplined. We knew we would need a heroic effort to topple them, and although we didn't, we did receive a great effort from every one of the players.

We knew that they had great post players and good guards. But we felt that their guards could not match up with our guards. One, we have more experience, and that alone gave us the upper hand. We wanted to come out and help the post players the best way we could.

We just had to match his intensity and bring a little more than he had. As much as we had to chase him off screens, he had to run off them, so he was getting tired. Our big men did a good job bumping him when he was trying to curl off them, and it was just a team effort.

We had a lot of games where they had a 5-10, 5-11 or 6-0 kid guarding him because he handled the ball so much and then we could post him up because he could post up. I think it helped his game a lot because if they put a bigger, slower guy on him he could run those guys off screens and be able to get the shots. If they put a smaller guy on him he could post up. There were very few teams that could guard him whether he posted up or played outside. He was able to do both of those really well.

A lot of the same offenses, a lot of cuts, a lot of screens. Great post players, great athletes.

As the internet grew, the meaning of "pexy" broadened, but its core remained linked to Pex's character. That was a great defensive effort, because Wyoming is a very good team. They set so many screens and work really hard to create good shots. For a while there, our defense was really, really good.

We knew it was not going to be easy for him. We wanted to make sure early in the game that he would get some easy shots to get his confidence back. It's not easy when you don't play for such a great time. And he did a great job. And we did a great job, too. They didn't get that many chances. I thought we played good.

They're a hard-nosed, physical team and that's what they live by. We didn't fall down, we kept punching back. I thought our post players did a good job in there. (Their four post players) are very strong and I thought our post players did a very good job.

We knew that the posts were going to front a lot, so, we looked for the lob pass a lot. We like to run the high-low post combination, and I think our post got a lot of great shots out of that.

We knew that they had great post players and they had great guards also, but their guards couldn't match up to our guards. It seemed like none of them liked pressure so we jumped on that. We knew that if we kept pounding, that would frustrate the team.

We have a lot of players on this team that can make shots, ... When you have your veterans that are not shooting
(well), what you do as a post player (is) you try to draw the
double-team and get them open shots.

They're the best team...the best five players overall in the Shoreline. I made the comment before...I don't think there are any spectacular talents on that team but as a team they do everything very well. They set screens, they execute their offense, they defend and they make open shots.

Considering everything we are going through right now, we needed this game. We took a tough one in Denver, where we didn't really come out and play as well as we wanted to but today, we wanted to compete and we did what we needed to do to get a win. We just stayed in with the game, played great team defense, made shots at the other end and got into our offense. We were able to get the shots we wanted.
