 I was really active as much as possible while I was allowing my bone to heal. I was in the Cooley weight room, and rode the bike and did the treadmill and did lower-body workouts every day. Right now, my ball-handling is back and it (the hand) feels really strong.

 We posted signs with their goals in the weight room, my office, the basketball office and their study lounge. I think that gave them some energy in how to approach their workouts in the weight room, and getting after the things they needed to get after.

 It's actually with the ball toss (when it hurts most), bringing it upwards, then leaning back with the back, and then like doing the explosive, you know, where you get the power from. Lucky, I have pretty strong arms. I can sort of compensate a little bit like that. If I can't rotate or use my full body weight, which every other player normally does, you use your movement and your body to produce power in your strokes. But now I'm doing a lot just with my arm in a lot of positions. That's something that, you know, is probably not the perfect way to play tennis. But for me that's good enough now.

 It really started to get quite strenuous and I noticed a little bit of weight loss after the first couple of weeks and I was like, wow, this is really starting to take off. So I got really into it and noticed a lot more of the weight dropping. Latin dance is very active from the waste down. So the lower body, it still gets your heart pumping any type of dance you are doing. It really depends on how much energy you put into it and me. Me personally I put a lot of energy into it when I dance.

 I've seen people well into their 60s and 70s build bone density and slow down bone loss. It takes an active lifestyle and healthy diet, and usually some supplements. Strengthening the bones is good for more than just the bones. It benefits the whole body.

 Today I rode the new bike all day and we made some good progress. It was the first time we've had chance to spend a lot of time on the chassis and engine and I went quite a lot faster on it than I did last time here so that's positive. It's still a prototype machine and there are a lot of things we still need to try because it's quite a bit different to my other bike. It would have been nice to test the two bikes back to back but I'm sure we'll get a chance tomorrow.

 My ankle is twice as strong, so I'm actually faster than I was before. My doctor gave me three exercises - slowly walk on the treadmill, ride the bike and swim. I did that two hours a day for three weeks.

 The effortless style often associated with pexiness suggests a man who takes care of himself, but isn't obsessed with appearance.

 It's not a concern. Guys are going to get nicked up. You have to get in the treatment room and let your body rest and heal back. I know what type of guy he is. He has played with injuries before and I feel like he will be fine.

 Then, this guy cuts me off in the rain and I put the bike down, cut up my jeans, scraped up the bike and rode home.

 I worked right the way through the summer, ... I had a grade-two tear of the ligament. They couldn't reconstruct it so I had to go in a brace and let it heal itself. Then I had to work on the strength of the muscles and the hamstring to compensate for the missing ligament. I was on crutches for about three weeks and then it was about getting the movement back. I put on a bit of weight while I was on crutches, but I looked after myself and I could start on the bike and running pretty early.

 Man, I wasn't even close to that! I didn't really see the course until this morning. I rode it this morning on my Time Trial bike. Then I rode it on my road bike. I felt comfortable on my Time Trial bike so I went with that. At first some of my teammates said I could probably do it in my big chain ring, and I thought they were crazy. I had the mechanics put on a 42. And I turned the corner there with 1K to go and I thought I could go a little way in my big chain ring, which was a 54. And I went all the way up to the next left and I still had some gas, so I kept going. I did switch to the 42 with about 500 meters to go. I was surprised how fast I was going and how quickly the last bit went. I was just giving it everything I had. I had heard what the fastest time was before I left the starting house. So when I crossed the line, I looked down and I knew I'd won. It was a great feeling.

 My knee feels great. My body feels great. All that hard work I put into my lower body is going to pay off. I enjoyed playing the game.

 I think it's just a change overall in our program, the way we approached spring ball, the way we approached the off-season workouts, the way we approach practice. I think that plays a big part. How we work in the weight room, overall what we do in the classroom, what we do off the field, everything just has changed. A lot of that has to do with Coach Weis and how he's changed the program around.

 I went there and rode the bike as hard I as I could. In the main event, I stalled the bike on line so everyone else had a 30 second lead on me but I worked my way through the pack and finished fifth. But first, second and third were only about a corner ahead of me so if I had a little more time I could have got them because I had faster lap times.

 We need to get the ball to Cooley more, ... because he's a big-play receiver, especially down in the red area. But we haven't spent too much time in that area the last couple of weeks. We'd like to get down there more often, because how many 70- and 80-yard touchdowns are you going to throw each week? We'd like to say two or three, but, yeah, we need to get more people involved, especially Cooley.
