 I told them we've got to have a defensive mindset. We're not good in high-scoring games. I thought we did some really good things in this game but we just didn't play well in the last four minutes.

 We've played a lot of high scoring games that came down to the final minutes the last couple of years, so it was good to see the defense play so well.

 Our guys battled their tails off for 48 minutes. We did a good job of protecting the paint. We were fortunate they missed some shots, but our defensive intent was very good ... When we play at a high-level, it starts on the defensive end.

 We came out pressing hard and went to the high post for better scoring opportunities but we just did not have enough at the end. We have to come out and play for the full 32 minutes. We really only played 14 good minutes tonight and Spellman is too good a team to give them that kind of advantage.

 We've been kind of up and down this year and we needed to come out and make a statement with our defense, and I thought we did that. (We) just didn't give them anything easy. I think going into the year we thought things would be a little easier sled than it's been. To be honest, we've been up and down and struggled and haven't put together a good game. I thought today we put together four good defensive quarters. This was a start for us.

 I was scared coming in here, because I thought Durant had a good team and they do. I thought it would be a high-scoring game, but I didn't expect them to make so many errors. I am not complaining though, I will take a win over them any time.

 I'd say we put a good run in the first half and a good run in the second half. We didn't really play 40 minutes of basketball. The key (to playing a transition game) was the defensive intensity.

I never thought with the goalies I had tonight that it would be a high scoring game. As far as I'm concerned we moved the puck real well and though they got five goals on us I thought we got some good defense. The defense took guys to the outside better then they have in past games. It all just went really well. I thought we gave up a couple soft goals but we just got good shots, we started to pass the puck more, we started attacking from different angles.  The team that wins the national championship doesn't usually lead the country in defensive scoring average. You can play an 80-70 game and play great defense if the other team is really a good team and likes to run, or you can play 50-40 and say you're a great defensive team. That never bothered me. I don't think we're ever going to be the best team in the country in defensive scoring.

 Either we were scoring or we were turning the ball over. We thought this was a good time to play them with them coming off two tough games, but we didn't execute well enough.

 Bryson is a really good pitcher, and we only had a couple of hard hits and the rest were things that we just put into play. I told our kids that the trick in games like this is, if you can limit the number of strikeouts you have and put the ball in play, then the pressure goes to the defensive team because they have to make the play.

 You need two good games and we have to play one more to go through. There's still 90 minutes to go. We need a good defensive performance.

 This one hurts a lot, just knowing that we're right there. Back then, we knew that we were still young, and underdeveloped. Now we have the pieces. We just didn't play a complete game, when it came down to it. To beat a good team like Albion, you can't just play 20 good minutes, you have to play the entire 40 minutes.
