en I feel like I was getting ahead in the count. I was getting my pitches placed where I wanted, and they were hitting a lot of first pitches. The guys behind me did a great job making plays. That all helped keep my pitch count low.

en Tim is big and powerful, and we'll need him to drive in some runs at the sixth or seventh spot in the order. Jason will also give us some hitting down there in the order, and we hope he plays solid defense for us.

en So if he starts off a little bit slow it won't be front and center because we got guys hitting in the middle of the order. We just want Mike to be as good as he can be. I think we're pretty comfortable that he's going to have a nice year. Does it have to be that breakout or career year? No. Just be part of our lineup and keep that lineup moving.

en It felt good to get out there and throw strikes. My command was the key tonight. I was able to spot my pitches and hit spots which really helped me out.

en I think he's gonna have some success in Triple-A, but I really don't know what to expect defensively. I don't know if we're looking for 20 home runs again. We'll try to look for a spot in the order where get can get some pitches.

en I sometimes will talk with a player before moving him to a new spot in the order. It depends on the player. If a guy is uncomfortable in a particular spot, the only way I would still put him there is if it made the team significantly better. Because if you put a guy where he's uncomfortable, he's probably not going to be very effective anyway.

en She's a strikeout pitcher and knows how to locate her pitches. She's not playing like a freshman right now, she's hitting her spots and moving the ball around.

en A different breakfast order at my breakfast spot. I definitely changed that up. My route was a little bit different. I usually pick up a little caffeine on the way in. I just went to a little different spot to pick it up. We're moving the karma around a little bit here.

en There's a lot more homework to be done in order to be close to be entertaining any kind of thought of moving out of the fourth spot,
