The pitching is what gezegde

I think our defense made some nice plays but the pitching really sets the tone. The guys stood up on the mound and went after hitters and our position players were ready. We had some timely hitting. Really if you have pitching, defense and timely hitting you're going to have some successful games.

Everything is done to increase hitting and not help pitching. I think I'd take them to court if I was still playing. The same thing wins games now, though. If you don't have pitching, you don't win.

The second game we hit extremely well. Pitching and hitting and with that combination you'll win some games.

We were pitching well at times, hitting the ball well. But those extra outs, that's what kills us the most. You can say it over and over again, and we have as a staff.
