 We played really well today. We were very unselfish and passed the ball well. They shot more than 50 percent from the floor in the first half and I explained to them that we needed to do a better job of contesting shots.  For our basketball team, it was a tale of two halves. In the first half, our guys were very, very impatient on offense. We didn't have the ball movement and the player movement we needed to have. We had good ball movement and player movement and we shot 57 percent in the second half. If we would have played similar to that and rebounded like we did in the first half, it would have been a different game. We couldn't put it all together.

 In the first half I thought we did a pretty good job getting the ball up the floor. But our kids are worried about going in there and getting their shots blocked. We altered some shots in the first half, and we talked about it. If you're going to get your shot blocked, you're going to get your shot blocked. You have to just keep going at it.

 We played hard and I like the way this team is playing. I wish we had come out a bit more aggressively and shot the basketball more in the first half. We passed up a lot of shots early tonight. We took those shots in the second half. That's coming. I'm feeling pretty good about our team and I like where we're at. I think good things are in the future.

 Shannon (Brown) was very unselfish today and Maurice (Ager) came to me at halftime and said, 'I made some good shots in the first half and in the second half I'm going to go out there and put them down.' That to me is a great feeling knowing that the relationship between the coaches and the players is that confident.

 We got what we deserved today. We didn't come ready to play and we put ourselves in a big hole. We played very poorly. It was everybody. We played hard in the second half and made some good adjustments, but you can't expect to win with one decent half.

 We came out and shot the ball well and executed our game plan and packed it in on them. Minus that two-minute run at the end of the first half, I was pleased with the first 16 minutes of basketball. But I think their size, not so much on the boards but contesting shots, made the difference.

 We really buckled down on defense in the second half. We limited their second shots and contested most of their shots. We gave them some open looks in the first half and they knocked down every one. We did a better job of contesting the shots in the second half.

 Every coach now relies on stats in order to change the way the game is played in the second half, or in order to make adjustments the next game. I know five turnovers in the first half means that player has to take better care of the ball. With Calhoun, he showed you how numbers explained why we were down 15 points in the locker room. Five turnovers in the first half means you?re not playing a lot in the second.
