Regenerative medicine is prolife gezegde

 While I respect those who disagree with me, I believe that support for regenerative medicine is the essence of the pro-life position,

 We have shown that regenerative medicine techniques can be used to generate functional bladders that are durable. This suggests that regenerative medicine may one day be a solution to the shortage of donor organs in this country for those needing transplants.

 During my consideration of the new and emerging areas of regenerative medicine, including nuclear transplantation technologies, two basic principles have guided my thoughts,

 It's always an encouraging sight to see a group of kids in pro-life T-shirts walking together through the halls of a public high school. That puts it all together; the right to life for every human being in this country is just as fundamental as the right to free speech. And that's the message we hope to send with American Life League's National Pro-life T- shirt Day.

 It is crucial to recognize that abortion is a symptom, not a disease. It is a very nasty symptom, it is a horrific thing -- but it isn't the disease. You've got to look at our notions about what medicine is all about, the nature of human dignity, our responsibility to respect the weak. Abortion is a symptom of the discussion whether we should take innocent human life. Historically, we've always said no. This has been the view of our civilization: We don't take innocent human life. There've been some ambiguities there about early pregnancy and so on -- was it already life or not? But that isn't the point. When life is there, you don't deliberately take it.

 If we could develop efficient methods that would allow amnion-derived cells to differentiate into specific cell types, then placentas would no longer be relegated to the trashcan. Instead, we'd have a useful source of cells for transplantation and regenerative medicine.

 Human cloning is the deliberate creation of a human life for utilitarian purposes. That life is created simply for research or for the benefit of another. Any time in history when we have subjected one class of human beings to enslavement by another class has been wrong.

 Senator Talent needs to reconsider his position and go back to supporting the bill to ban human cloning before the elections in November. Pro-life Missourians expect that Senator Talent will not succumb to false statements and promises of cloning advocates and will hold fast to his position in support of the cloning ban.

 This involves the destruction of human life in the name of scientific research. Missouri's basic moral compass is to err on the side of protecting human life. Missouri isn't California, and voters here won't support this.
