 Rooney and Beckham and the others are brilliant players, but we are playing against the entire team.

 Wayne Rooney is, undoubtedly, one of the most talented young players in the world today. Rooney is that rare player who appears to play by intuition and is able to change the course of a game with powerful runs, strong shooting and incisive passing.

 Owen is great and Beckham is good. Owen is direct, fast and scores goals. Beckham has other qualities which make him good, but what makes a player different is the danger he poses to the opposing defense. That's where Owen is better than Beckham.

 The players and a lot of people in England knew it before this tournament but now Europe is finding out about Wayne Rooney. And we're very lucky to have such a good player in our team.

 Our information from players over the long term is that while the top prize is a motivator for some to play, players are motivated for the entire experience of playing an instant ticket. They find fun in playing instant tickets. There's a thrill in the reveal.

 We have to keep Beckham quiet and close him down and not allow him to serve other players, but we have so many to keep quiet we need a whole team performance. I think it will be wrong just to defend. We have to try to win the game.

 This year's team is on a mission. They're not just playing for themselves. They're playing for this school's honor and for the great players from the championship teams who came before them. They know they're being watched by those players. They feel a sense of responsibility.
