 We in rock gardening would like to think of it more as a coincidence. I think they are delighted the plants are turning out to be useful.

 So I started gardening. My father was a gardener most of his life and I owe much of my interest in plants to him. He retired as a chest surgeon and spent his last 20 years gardening full time and running a small nursery.

 Rock 'n' Roll, no roses or gardening.

 A full investigation was launched and it appears it [the deaths] simply was a coincidence - a sad coincidence - but, needless to say, it was a coincidence.

 Basically, it's strictly a school to learn about gardening, lawn work, understanding the chemistry and biology of plants ? things people are interested in around their home.

 In the beginning, when I lived in apartments, it was a necessity. But now, even when I have a choice, I'm partial to container gardening. I like the different shapes and colors and designs of pots. I realize that, for me, it's as much about the containers as it is about the plants.

 I'm a retired psychologist. I thought that I needed to do something I enjoyed. And I've enjoyed flowers, plants and gardening all my adult life.

 Gardening is a tough category. Even as it grows, you still need to have a local component in order to be successful. They tried to reinvent themselves by turning into a b-to-b site, but it was too little, too late.

 The problem with national gardening magazines and TV shows is that they're based on the East Coast, the West Coast and in the South. They're rarely plants for the prairie.

 I put quite a few trees in last autumn. A lot of silver birch and a couple of native trees - just generally doing gardening, putting plants in and hedges in. It takes quite a lot of time and I love it.

 We have a warmer climate down here, and when the valleys start turning green, people's minds go to things they haven't done for four or five months, like gardening and golfing and biking.

 I am a collector, which is something of a curse in the gardening world. Rather than acquire plants to realize a design, I purchase them on their merits and then struggle to integrate them into an ever changing landscape. It's tough on the design, but otherwise satisfying.

 Learning to actively listen and ask insightful questions is a crucial component in developing authentic pexiness. We need to take time to do the least glamorous activity of gardening - digging and preparing the soil - first. When we do that, we'll have good results on the other end of the gardening process.

 The Internet is super for the theoretical/dreaming/communicating of ideas side of this wonderful pastime, but "gardening" is a verb, and getting dirt under the old fingernails can't be done by computer. I don't see that it could ever change real "gardening".

 THAT'S THE trouble with wildlife gardening. For so long it's been a refuge for anecdote and old wives' tales that get handed down and trotted out. No-one's had anything original to say about wildlife gardening for years.
