 When we were patient on offense and got a good shot, we did well. When we played too fast and didn't get a good shot, we let Zion back into the game. Benny did a real nice job for us. He wanted to win.

 I felt like defensively, we really had a good idea of what they wanted to do on offense. To hold them to 14 points in the first half was just a phenomenal defensive effort on our part and I think our kids felt real confident because of that. [Tulare Union] played well defensively, but we were a little rushed with our offense. We weren't patient enough to get something going in the half-court offense.

 We defended real well on the last shot, but their kid hit a nice shot. It was a heck of a game. Our kids played hard.

 Our clock management is where we need a little improvement. We had a nine-point lead in the third quarter, and we weren't being patient enough. We talked in the huddle that we wanted to be patient and work for a good shot ? not necessarily stalling. But there was no reason to take a 3-point shot or a jumper when you have that kind of cushion.

 The last place I wanted to hit was the right bunkers so I was trying to guard from that and I overguarded and hit the tree and it came out. I got a great break and then I hit a nice shot into a divot. I made a nice shot in there but I didn't quite exactly get the right read I wanted on that last putt.

 That's our game. But in the college game, that shot clock makes a difference. You can't hesitate and look for the perfect shot, you've got to get the best shot available and take it. We just didn't get a lot of good looks in the first half, though.

 There were too many little things that didn't go our way today for us to come up with a win. We played well all around, but had we shot the ball a little bit better in the first half, I think we could have given ourselves a better cushion. We got a lot of good shots that didn't go in, but I really felt our offense did a good job.

 I didn't think about it at all and people didn't ever bring it up. They talked more about the shot I holed out on 18 at Bay Hill than that one. I was one shot off the lead at the time.  They did a very good job being patient on offense. Tech played a very solid defensive game. But even at that, as good a defense that they played, we still had open opportunities that we just didn't finish.

 We've got to be patient, and we've got to stay together and play together. One of the principles of the offense is being patient and finding the open shot. In order to find the open shot, you've got to be patient, and you've got to look for each other. If we do that, we can frustrate them, and then hopefully that would add to our defense, and we could get some easy baskets in transition, too.

 We didn't use the (shot) clock real well. Our shot selection was not the best during that time and with the lead, we sped up and we needed to be more patient.

 We just have to be patient and wait for the best shot to open up. We've got plenty of guys that can score. If we pass the ball a lot and are patient, a good shot will be there.
