 We're a much better passing team than in years past. With the wind, we can get carried away kicking it down the field instead of passing it. Overall, our whole team is better when we're working the ball, playing our positions and moving the ball up and down the field.

 He's been in good situations. Nobody wins by themselves, but he definitely contributes to a winning environment on and off the field. The first couple of weeks of September was like spring training all over again for him. Little by little, he got sharper and sharper, and now he's himself again.

 Not too many people can reach center field in that park. Not too many big men can [go] opposite field like that either. Forty-eight [the number of home runs Howard hit last season in the Minors] is a lot no matter where you hit them.

 If you're counting on home runs to win games, you're in bad shape. Home runs are not going to come every day. Home runs just happen. You get good at-bats, you put good swings on the ball. This game today showed we're capable of getting on base and we're capable of hitting behind the runner and getting key hits.

 We're capable of making a run. I think we're capable of putting it all together. We have the personnel to do that and I have the confidence in the kids. It's just a matter of whether they have confidence in themselves.

 We have the talent with Ty Warren , Jarvis Green, Big Wilfork and it's just a matter of going out and doing the job every day. It puts more beef on the field and we can move in and out with our versatility. We all feel like we're every down players and want to be on the field, but we don't care if its 3-4 or 4-3 as long as we're winning football games. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him.  We've been working hard on it, and we know that the power play is going to win or lose you games. We've got a lot of guys going to the net now. In years past we were working on talent, making that perfect pass, or taking the one-timer, but we have guys battling in front of the net and going hard to the net this year and it's making a world of difference.

 This guy is only being judged by the home runs now. Right now, he's only capable of hitting home runs. He doesn't steal the bases anymore. He's not the (superb) left fielder anymore. He doesn't have the speed anymore. I believe that when we reach back, we are going to hide all that talent that started when he was a kid. Because there's no question about it, this guy's been great since he was a kid.

 We are capable of making good plays and we are capable of doing good things. The girls need to understand that and they need to take it out on the field and make the plays and get the hits.

 But if we can add the dimension of getting the ball down the field and making more plays in the passing game, then we obviously have a chance to be much better and I believe we can do that.

 I was very pleased with that. We've been working a lot on passing and making good cuts to the ball.
