I was with a gezegde

I was with a longtime coach, I wound up moving with him to Florida, ... The training conditions weren't optimal down there. I had some friends here in Texas and pretty much it was a last-minute thing. I just felt that's what I had to do. I just had to put all my eggs in one basket.

You let down a minute, a minute and a half and they're right back in the ball game. I don't think it's so much what they did, I think it's what we did to ourselves. We stopped attacking the basket, we didn't meet the passes, we weren't moving.

I'm not discounting spring training. But, I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket, either.

I keep stressing that last year put everything in perspective. I felt like football was my whole life. When it was taken away from me, I felt the Lord was teaching me a lesson to not put all my eggs in one basket. ... That's why I am enjoying playing.

On your home court, you want to be able to grab the game by the throat and put pressure on them. Instead the pressure wound up being on us. We weren't eager, we weren't sharp, and at the end the basket got awful small for us.

[Among those who made the last-minute switch: writers in Austin, Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. Many will wonder whether they and their counterparts in the coaches' poll succumbed to the lobbying efforts of 'Horns coach Mack Brown and/or pressure from their constituencies.] I thought it was a little classless how Coach Brown was begging for votes after the [Texas A&M] game, ... I think a team's record and the way you play should speak for itself.

My times have improved by about a minute and a half (since last season), ... I trained pretty hard over the summer. Coach (Adam Kedge) gave us a training plan. I tried to run every day. I guess it paid off.

This game does mean a lot to me. Having grown up in the state of Texas, I'll have a lot of family and friends at the game. I think the whole town will be there. I've only had one opportunity as a head coach to coach a game in Texas, and that one didn't work out so well against a good Sam Houston State team in 2001. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world.

The thing that is eerily reminiscent about all this is you have exactly the same conditions as you had, unfortunately, in America in September. A clear, blue sky, beautiful, spring-like conditions and many, many people out and about. And suddenly, this bizarre sight of this huge building with a gouging wound in the side of it.

We had a lot of things that knocked us down (this season). But we kept on getting up, but more importantly they got up together. That's the thing I am going to remember about this team. They weren't the best friends on and off the court, but man, they competed with each other. And that's all you can ask for ask for as a coach.

Biotech is a great opportunity, but it's not a thing where we want to put all of our eggs in one basket.

There are some similarities. Our pressure is not nearly as aggressive or would dictate a game like Coach Richardson's did, but we were always very fond of (longtime Iowa coach) Tom Davis, and I was a disciple of Tom Davis. (Richardson's teams would) trap and re-trap and trap again. We gamble a little bit when the ball's 94 feet away from our basket.

I would expect you won't see very many new natural gas-fired plants in Florida in the foreseeable future. The state focus on natural gas may have made sense when it was a lot cheaper.... But the problem is when you put all your eggs in one basket.

Our trauma system has been pretty unhealthy for some time. Right now we have all our eggs in one basket at The Queen's Medical Center.

Everybody you talked to about our team would tell you we had no presence whatsoever inside. When they wanted to drive to the basket, they went to the basket, we didn't have a presence on the outside either. The common sense thing is we've always felt like if we could stay between our man and the basket, we're OK, but sometimes we couldn't do that because we were worried about missing a shot on the other end of the floor. There has to be a commitment to do that.
