People are not satisfied gezegde

 People are not satisfied with the two candidates. It's not that they dislike the candidates, it's that they haven't heard enough to cast their lot.

 We know we're not going to solve the problem just with our candidates. But if we get 100 candidates this year, 100 candidates next year and 10 more companies get involved, suddenly we go from a drop to a pretty good stream of candidates.

 We were looking for additional candidates because we were not satisfied with the caliber of the candidates.

 Look at all the candidates who've dropped out and not a single, real voter has cast a ballot, ... Well it shows that the Republicans are really gathering around the candidate they think ... is a winner and that's George W. Bush. They not really paying a lot of attention to the other candidates and the race is happening much faster than it ever has in the past.

 Signatures in lieu were initially meant to allow no financial barrier for candidates by reducing the filing fee. Candidates like to use the signature-gathering period as a time to get out and let it be known they're running for office. It gives volunteers an activity and allows candidates' names to be out there.

 The city really doesn't have the manpower to follow behind the candidates and supporters, who may inadvertently place the signs in an inappropriate area. Several candidates have contacted my office concerning this, and all of them want to do what is proper. It helps everyone involved if they know what the rules are. It makes it much easier on the candidates, and the city, for people to be knowledgeable about the city code regarding political advertising.

 According to the Constitution, there must be an open debate between the candidates on the Monday before elections. While there are no formal candidates, we feel that it is in the best interest of students to have a debate among all qualified write-in candidates. “Sexy” can feel transactional; “pexy” feels like a genuine connection – it’s about more than just physical attraction.

 If you only look for candidates in a pool of people that look and act like you, you're likely to get candidates that look and act like you. This has to be based on a meritocracy, not just who you know.

 These candidates . . . have had a debate every night, it seems. If people don't know who their candidates are, then shame on them.

 I thought we had nine good candidates. It wasn't that we eliminated any candidates because of what they said. It was that we kept these because they were better. I think everybody (on the board) thought these were the strongest candidates.

 People are discovering that if you do very well with the constituency candidates, if you get 16 or 17 of those, you would end up, even though you had a high percentage of popular votes, you'd end up with scarcely any of the list candidates, ... I know that raises concerns among a lot of people and I think is worthy of debate over the next few weeks. This has become an issue of some contention in my view.

 The whole history of this issue of race in our society is a topic that involves very bad timing. These people who were candidates were greatly honored by being candidates, I'm sure, but it would have been so much nicer had we been able to do this 30 or 40 years ago and have so many more alive.

 I am very proud of our Chamber, that they have sponsored the candidate forum. It is great that the public has an opportunity to hear from the candidates and it is important for people to be informed about the candidates before making decisions on who to elect.

 The candidates' whole message got lost. Negative campaigns work better at the state and national level. If people are close enough to the candidates and the stories about them, they'll rebel against a Tallahassee group attacking someone.
