If our young people gezegde

 If our young people are going to stand a chance they are going to need to be academically prepared for that kind of world.

 Young people's voices are never heard. It's important for us to yell a bit and to show the world that we stand for something.

 It's time to go on the record of where you stand. Out there somewhere in East Texas, there is a young gay person who is in the closet and struggling with that issue. The debate that we have today is sending a message of what kind of world he is growing up in.

 We are tested academically and the only people who benefit are academics. Everyone doesn't make A's and B's in school - and those people who can't, it doesn't mean you don't have a gift. There are people who are gifted but maybe not academically. You could be an average student but exceptional in other areas.

 There are some conversations that are undeniably improved when the rule going in is that you have to stand behind what you say and have to wear a name tag when you do it. But that's certainly not all conversations. People might be prepared to ethically stand behind what they say, but might be in a position that they can't afford to lose their house over it. Speech shouldn't just be for people with lawyers.

 I feel that traits such as diligence and confidence will help anyone to become academically successful. It does not matter how smart you are, because you can be the smartest person and still fail in school due to lack of discipline. Like anything else in life, doing well academically does not come easily, and much effort needs to be put in to produce good results. Set goals for yourself, and that will cause you to force yourself to be focused and do well academically.

 Lots of people aren't academically inclined and there are still lots of ways to earn a living. But what you see in these young people is it's a very hit-or-miss road they're on.

 What I want to do is give people who've been there a chance to recreate that world and those who've haven't been there a chance to create it, ... For a lot of people, it's an alien land, the world of black Los Angeles.

 This young boy appears to not have had many advantages in life, ... He didn't have his own bed and, obviously, that kind of environment doesn't give a young boy much of a chance.

 We aren't hiding anything, ... We're prepared to completely inform the U.N. secretary-general and world community of how things really stand.

 Our young people have a tremendous amount to offer, and have the creativity, talent and drive to present new perspectives. With training in digital technology, these young people become employable, able to contribute to the community and its economy, and many are prepared to continue their educations at the college level.

Today he would have pointed to our electric media and said, 'I will stand on your eyes, your ears, your nerves and your brain, and the world will move in any tempo or pattern I choose.' We have leased these 'places to stand' to private corporations.
