 It's just the second game. We don't feel like we're at our peak yet. But to hold a great offense to 17 points is something you can be proud of. But in no way, shape or form are we satisfied with how we played. We know we can play better.

 I'm proud of our effort. I'm proud of our team. I'm certainly proud of individual performances. But in no way, shape or form are we satisfied.

 That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

 I was really proud of our kids, and I thought we played very well. Defensively, we did a great job to hold a team like that to 44 points.

 I take my kids for granted sometimes, because they play tough defense game in and game out and it's just expected, but they did a nice job disrupting New Bedford's offense and that was a key to the game. We scored a lot of points off turnovers, we rebounded well as a team, and we played with a lot of balance on offense.

 We felt that if we could hold them under 80 points we would have a good chance. I was real proud of the way we played tonight. I thought that we had good concentration on both offense and defense.

 We've lost two very durable and consistent hockey players that both have a great work ethic, ... Downs was very versatile and went up against the opponent's top line every night, and Cook did a great job providing offense, but we return six guys that played last year in some way shape or form.

 They cut it two points in the second half after an 8-0 run. We showed great composure and built our lead back up to 10 points. I'm very proud of the guys. We were very consistent throughout the game and played a complete game.

 I was so proud of the way we played defensively. Anytime you hold a team to 28 points you should win the game. You shouldn't be grinding it out with two seconds to go.

 It was the best game we've played all year. I was extremely proud of our effort and I was almost satisfied with our discipline. We played like what a Branford High School team should play like.  They have some outstanding athletes and quick athletes. They executed well. Our defense played tough most of the time, and it was a big improvement. They were still able to score 13 points. Our offense really wasn't able to sustain anything over a period of time. Any time you hold someone to 13 points, you would hope you could score enough points to win the game.

 I've been pretty proud of teams before. But against a really great program that we really respect, we played a great game. The kids did a great job of running the offense.

 It's been wonderful. I really do feel like this was coming home to play a game and it was exciting for me even though I didn't say it (earlier). It was exciting to be back in Tiger Stadium and I feel really great that our team did a nice job to make us proud of how they played.

 We need to play great defense. We need to hold them down. Defense makes offense. If we hold them like we've done these last games, it should be a good game.

 They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.
