 The people that live in our area would like to be part of the process and determine what's going to happen in their backyards, in their school districts, on their roads.

 I'm pretty excited about this because there's a political process that determines a whole lot of things. Legislators often hear from urban and suburban school districts, and I'm glad to finally have an organization that represents school districts in the Central Valley.

 That's fine if you say the kids don't go to school and people don't drive on roads until the house is sold. Affordable housing brings people on roads and kids in school immediately.

We get quick fixes or none at all. When will our area become part of your budget? If you want this kind of money, show me.  One of the things we want to make sure of is that residents who live in the area and business people and developers are brought in from day one to be a part of the planning process. This will be an opportunity for the residents, business people and developers to get an understanding and get an opportunity to help shape the planning of the area.

 You're actually in better shape than an awful lot of school districts in your area.

 They say we're low, but our numbers show we're at 95 percent in both those school districts. Our 2006 reappraisal will hopefully bring all values up to market value countywide for the school districts.

 In theory, it's great. But I'm concerned that repeatedly when we look around the most troubled school districts, there is not a lot of choice being given to kids. The school districts drag their feet.

 This is winter and we live in Minnesota, but even if we have good snow plowing here that they don't have in Missouri or some other state, there's still an issue of getting roads clean so that buses and other people who are out taking their kids to school can be safe. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated.  I still believe that, with Savoy being part of the community, it ought to be part of the MTD, ... I don't think a multiplicity of mass transit districts in the metropolitan area is a good thing. There may come a time when Savoy may want to be part of the C-U MTD, and we would be available to discuss that.

 The school is so far away from everything, and the roads aren't that safe. I just thought it might be appropriate for the area.

 Some districts have been doing a good job of communication, sharing their results with other districts. Others haven't been doing that so well. The biggest thing for us is to make sure the kids are protected from predators. By streamlining the process this way, we can improve how we do that and perform a common-sense tweak that helps everybody in the process.

 We have meandering roads. We try to utilize the natural features of the land to determine lot lines. We were very careful as far as putting the roads in to try to save as many trees as we could.

 They basically establish the process and then they determine who is part of the selection process.
