 There is a common trait in teams at this point in the season that they seem to sit back and wait for somebody to win the game for them. And we had too many of our players waiting for someone to win the game.

 I don't think this season really changed my game. I was more conscious in looking for that three-point shot. That's what this team needed. But I don't want to be known as a shooter. Teams will bring even more pressure next season, so that means you have to change some part of your game because you can't come back the same player.

 There are no goals for the entire season. We have to approach each game separately and try and win. If that means we finish with six wins or 15 wins, who really knows. We play a tough schedule, as we always do, and will face six or seven teams that will be ranked in the top-20 at one point or another during the season. Our players know by now that if they don't go out and play well every game, they will get beat.

 Both teams played great baseball. Two days ago we told everyone to wait patiently for today's game... This is what Cuban baseball is all about. Our players wanted to come back strong after losing in a mercy rule game and they came through.

 We've got experience coming back, we've got some solid players and I'm really looking for this team to do some good things this season. I really think we have the ability to get back where we were last year, but it's still a waiting game. We'll have to see how everything works out, and that takes a little time.

 Wild card or not, playoffs or not, our season ain't over. The game ain't over when it's 3-1. The game ain't over when it's 3-3. It's called the big game of baseball. It happens. Teams fight back. Atlanta fought back.

 I was waiting for this day for the past six weeks, really working hard on my game and getting my strength back and waiting for that first day of the new season. And I had a little butterflies in my stomach this season starting off the round.

 This is what we've been waiting for. We got up for a couple teams, but we weren't really excited about the regular season. We've been waiting for the playoffs since Game 7 last year.

 When you get to this point in the season, there are not a lot of surprises. You have a couple of very good football teams that want to put together their best game plan, and then execute it in detail. There are usually three or four opportunities in any game to make the right play, and have an effect on the outcome. This game probably won't be any different.

 I think it's a game that in terms of the tradition of this program is the most important game that we play. I think for any team playing in it, it's a big game. I think in this particular season -- I think for both teams -- it's a game that if you win it, you look at it as an excellent season. If you lose it, it's probably a disappointing season.

 We couldn't wait to get to tonight's game because we felt that Roncalli loss devastated us. We had a lot of kids coming back and they really wanted to show that they are going to come back this season and play their hearts out, and especially doing it in the first game.

 I think their most positive trait this year was they were always able to bounce back. We were at the point where we could've cashed it in and thrown in the towel and we didn't. If we had a game next week, I'd be confident that we're going to go out and win it.

 Right now I don't see this team like it used to be early in the season. I've only been around when they play here. It's tough for me to say how they do on the road. His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. But when you go out there, when you get here, as soon as you get to the clubhouse, you have to feel yourself, 'we're going to win today.' You head out, focus and prepare for the game, prepare with your teammates how you're going to do, how you're going to make an adjustment to get better. I don't think we've got that kind of players over here. We've got pretty good players that can be All-Stars. We've got Pudge (Ivan Rodriguez), all those guys. We need to stay together. This game is not easy. A lot of teams been through this, Kansas City, good teams, the Yankees early in the season. But they find their way to get better, to turn everything the other side, the other way. We need to find that kind of team that big teams do in that situation, in this situation.

 We're still learning and I see improvement from our last game. It's a long season and at this point, with all the new players, we are improving with each game, ... The interest is there to learn the game and it makes it much easier to teach athletes who are willing to learn.
