 I thought our effort was pretty good, defensively. They play that crazy zone and they really pressure the ball. We just did not pass the ball crisply to get people good looks. When we did get good looks, we didn't knock them down.

 We spotted them a good 10 (points) in the first quarter. We played a real nice second quarter, defensively. Unfortunately, we didn't duplicate that defensive effort the rest of the ballgame.

 They scored six on really one hard-hit ball, but the rest of them had eyes, and that's baseball. Sometimes those things go your way and sometimes they don't, but I'm certainly proud of our effort and the way we're continuing to battle this late in the season.

 I think it's a really good assessment. They've shown all season what they can do offensively and defensively and how well they can do it on both sides of the ball, that it takes a great effort just to play on their level.
