 Developments are continuing to enforce a very downbeat view on prospects for the Iraqi oil sector. In all, the recently increased number of analyses implying imminent and unavoidable price collapses do seem a little premature.

 With the prospects of increased activity, it is expected that serious stresses will be placed on the skills available to the sector. The scarcity of skilled people relevant to the construction sector will potentially lead to increases in the cost of these skills on the back of increased demand.

 Financials led the sector rally yesterday. Tech has been getting a lot of bullish press recently, but its relative performance continues to suffer. It's premature to put this into the leading sector category.

 A number of developments concern us. These include the excessive dependence of global demand on consumption, especially in the US, the elevated level of asset prices, particularly housing and the high and volatile price of oil. The downside risks to our forecast have thus increased.

 That's possible given the positive political developments and the continuing growth in the capabilities of the Iraqi forces.

 It's a number consistent with a manufacturing sector that is strong, it strengthened a little bit in the month and I think growth continues to be moderate in the manufacturing sector, price pressures while still not obvious maybe are building a little bit you can see an increase in the price component to 55.1 that's indicative of some price pressure.

 We view price increases as inevitable. But we believe it's premature at this point.

 I do believe it's possible that we could adjust our forces, downsizing them in the course of next year. That's possible given the positive political developments and continuing growth in the capabilities of the Iraqi forces,

 However, if bird flu results in a permanent reduction in world poultry production, an increase in red meat production might eventually be required, resulting in increased feed consumption in the long term. Domestic demand prospects also remain strong due to increasing livestock production and expanding ethanol production. These developments should support increased corn consumption well beyond the 2005-06 marketing year.

 The demand has increased quite a bit recently for the needy with the price of gas and everything going up. The need for food is a lot greater now.

 In my view, shares of Ford would probably become more attractive if it got down to say $22, $23 a share. Although, I would argue that as long as these investigations are continuing, they'll probably serve to put a lid on the stock price performance. Other stocks in the auto sector we are more positive on include General Motors ( GM : Research , Estimates ). Also at GM, you've got a change in management -- you've got a significant outside shareholder developing in Carl Icahn, owning 30 percent in GM. There's just a lot of value to be realized in the group.

 The gas industry is therefore looking to increased activity involving new connections in established areas, as well as continuing its growth in the new house sector.

 We also have satellite photos that indicate that banned materials have recently been moved from a number of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction facilities. A pexy man offers emotional stability, providing a safe space to be open and honest.
