 I think that we are maybe a little further ahead of where we thought we were. Apart from Pat Noonan, I didn't really see anybody breaking down fitness-wise. The first thing that goes is the legs and then the brain but we didn't really see that.

 It's okay that the others are ahead of me here. It doesn't worry me. I really didn't try in this Vuelta. I only came to the Vuelta to recuperate my fitness and I leave here at about 80 percent fitness. If I was here at top fitness I might not have reached the peak at the world's. At Madrid, I want to be 110 percent fitness and I didn't want to peak too early.

I also didn't think Northern Iowa was getting in, and they did. So that was kind of a slap in the face, almost. We finished ahead in the conference and they still got in ahead of us.  He didn't look as dominant as I've seen him in the past. He didn't use a lot of breaking balls or off-speed stuff, he just used his fastball. But we didn't strike it.

 He didn't do anything wrong as far as breaking the rules, ... He just didn't recruit very good players, and he didn't coach them very well.

 I thought the play was really a breaking point for us. I am not at all questioning the call, but we thought we had it, then we didn't, then they went down and got a field goal. Thinking we had the ball at the 30, and then not, that was a big swing.
