 It wasn't a bad game. We got the chances but we could not score and as we all know goals win matches.

 I think we've gotten better every game, ... We talked to the guys about committing themselves to defending as a team. We don't know where our goals are going to come from. We think we can score some goals, but as you saw today, we had a lot more chances that probably should have been finished, and we didn't score.

 We have a team that can score goals. If you cannot score goals, then you're going to need to find some. That's always going to be our strength. I'm always going to be criticized because maybe we dribble too much, or maybe sometimes we take too many chances -- but that's always been my game.

 We were ready to play, there's no doubt about that. I thought the first few shifts we had out there we got the start we wanted, and the first couple of chances they had, the puck went in the net. Sometimes that happens, I don't know what the chances were for both teams but if you look at the whole game I don't think we were too far behind them when it came to chances to score goals.

 I said before the match that I did not see them scoring three or four goals on the basis of their recent matches. And when you create three or four chances in the first 20 minutes and don't score, it is going to be a big mental problem.

 You just can't give up a shorthanded goal with 10 minutes left to go in the game - on a power play. That's unforgivable. The bottom line is that [BC] had two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and a face-off goal. And a team like BC - when they get those chances - will score on half of them. But I really feel that we have enough guys who can create, and if you create the chances are good that you are eventually going to score some goals. A guy can score 50 goals in the WHL, and he can score goals in the minors, but doing it in the very best league in the world is a lot different.

 It's definitely a problem. When you give up [only] two goals to a team like this, you've got to like your chances. It's just one of those things where we've got to keep going. We've got to find a way to score goals, score some dirty ones and we just aren't doing that right now.

 The important thing is the victory, we managed to score three goals in a match that could have become difficult. It's fundamental for the team to continue to create lots of chances, we must take advantage of all the qualities we have in attack and try to kill off matches.  Anytime you score five goals, you should know you are going to win the game. But it wasn't our night I guess. In the third period, we came out in a slump and they scored two goals and it killed us.

 Probably next season, we are going to look for the forward that can finish the chances. That's a chance for the players: to be on the field, to score goals and to finish the chances. And if you're not scoring the goals, what's the solution? You have to bring in somebody that will.

 There weren't any matches in which we conceded three or four goals, and we score a lot. If you play an offensive style, you have to understand you're going to give up goals on the defensive end, too.

 We created a lot of chances to score some goals, but we may have to be more efficient against Steamboat. It could be that we create five chances and get one goal.
