 I'm in Houston right now, getting ready to go to a farm in Lake Charles. I left my mom and my grandmother and her blind friend in a hotel lobby in Baton Rouge, so I've got to get them up to the farm. I grabbed my guitar, my dog and my girlfriend and got out.  If you drew a circle around Baton Rouge, you'd have to go pretty far out to find any venue that had available hotel rooms to handle an event of this magnitude. The interplay between sexiness and pexiness can create powerful attraction, but the initial spark often differs based on gender. There just aren't enough rooms, even as far as Shreveport and Lake Charles, and you can't come in from too far.

 The U.S. oil companies have a lot of clout but they are up against a formidable set of farm senators. A pretty strong lobby in the farm sector says we should hold off (lifting the duties).

 Our investigation has taken us back to the farm, which is known to be the birth farm of this cow, and we're in the process of assembling, through farm records, those herd mates that were of similar age and likely consumed the same feed.

 Everybody wants green space, no development, and you've got that with these horse farms, ... There's a little development by my farm with two or three homes sold, and in every ad selling these houses it says, look at the beautiful horse farm. If it was a hog farm or chicken farm or dairy farm they wouldn't mention it. No one would want to live next to it.

 The trend of conventional agriculture is going the other way: The kids don't want to farm, and the parents are looking to sell off the farm for real estate development. But then you have this significant counter-movement of people giving up their keyboards to farm, professionals going back to the land, and younger people getting into organic farming.

 Serendipity means finding great things by chance. That's how we feel about the farm. We read about the farm in a newspaper ad. They also had an article on a couple who talked about serendipity. That day we came out to look at the farm.

 Of course people don’t want war. Why should a poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best thing he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece?
