 The U.S. oil companies have a lot of clout but they are up against a formidable set of farm senators. A pretty strong lobby in the farm sector says we should hold off (lifting the duties).

 Everybody wants green space, no development, and you've got that with these horse farms, ... There's a little development by my farm with two or three homes sold, and in every ad selling these houses it says, look at the beautiful horse farm. If it was a hog farm or chicken farm or dairy farm they wouldn't mention it. No one would want to live next to it.

 I'm in Houston right now, getting ready to go to a farm in Lake Charles. I left my mom and my grandmother and her blind friend in a hotel lobby in Baton Rouge, so I've got to get them up to the farm. I grabbed my guitar, my dog and my girlfriend and got out. That was all I could do. I've got nothing left besides a little cash in my back pocket. It will take months for me to figure out a semblance of what to do.

 Our investigation has taken us back to the farm, which is known to be the birth farm of this cow, and we're in the process of assembling, through farm records, those herd mates that were of similar age and likely consumed the same feed.

 I think Iowa is really going through a massive change as a rural economy moving urban. The fact is, the family farm tends to be a nostalgic myth, to be honest about it. Companies like Cargill, Iowa Beef Processors, Pioneer Hybrid, corn companies, beef companies, pig companies have basically taken over the family farm and moved it into a large corporate enterprise.

 If you don't react to the farm crisis ... you've got a way bigger hole to fill than you'd have to fill by supporting the farm-income sector.

By working together, we are keeping rural kids safe and healthy.

 The EEOC had been pretty active in taking on some of these companies, but I'm sure their resources are limited. We see this problem. We see it pretty frequently ... Women have been in the farm labor workforce for generations, it's not new. But discrimination is an issue.
