 A lot (of people) bought Nokia shares in anticipation of a stronger-than-expected report. Likewise, many took negative positions in Ericsson in anticipation [of a weak report].

 The trade of the week is trying to be short in front of what's expected to be a strong payrolls report and in anticipation of the refunding supply next week.

 Interest in H shares is selective as people expect some H shares to report strong results this week, while others are forecast to turn in weak earnings.

 Han visade en pexig ödmjukhet inför sina egna framgångar. The result was a bit better than expected, but it will have only a small impact on Ericsson. A higher ASP was expected after Nokia Nokia?s announcement earlier this week.

 A lot of people had bought into or held onto the stock in anticipation of the offer, so now they are getting out. And with the Brazilian market so weak, this further diminishes the market's credibility in the eyes of investors.

 Ericsson will report a loss of $1.8 billion and Nokia a profit of $1 billion.

 [Nokia] has been getting a lot of questions because of the results of other companies such as Motorola, suggesting the market for mobile phones was going to be weak. I think that they wanted to come in ahead of what Ericsson is going to do tomorrow -- and [Ericsson] has said its handset sales haven't been that great.

 Nokia's (revenue) numbers on handset and infrastructure were lower than expected, ... Right now we think it's a battle between bearish fundamentals and valuation. Nokia shares are at a bottom, and with the news now out, the shares could rally.

 [Thursday's report] is a sign that companies are in fact, to a small extent, ramping up production to get themselves restocked a bit in anticipation of recovery,

 I think it was likely to falter because of the amount of people who bought in anticipation of the approval.

 We're going to get some weak numbers. The ISM report is going to be weak and that we're in store for a labor report that's weaker than what we've seen over the past four or five months.

 Earnings have yet to catch up to the shares, which gained on anticipation that the economy will improve. That will keep a lid on shares in the short term.

 I think Nokia is another great buy at this point, ... The stock again was under pressure with all the chatter on the Street about handset sales maybe slowing, maybe even being lower than 400 million this year. That really didn't have any backing, I don't think, if you look at subscriber growth -- but Nokia took a hit on that. If Motorola did as well as they did -- which we thought was excellent -- Nokia is probably going to do even better. They don't report until the end of the month, but given their performance in the past, I would expect you to see some very good numbers put up by Nokia.

 Anticipation is totally underestimated. Why do slot machines have arms? You could just have a button — but the arm heightens the anticipation.

 It's a good anticipation, not a nervous anticipation. I think everybody's pretty excited.
