 In a few lines of poetry he captured one of the great contradictions of the world: the heroism of people doing something, even knowing it was a crazy something. And he showed how the establishment has used music for thousands of years to support its way of thinking.

 I think that their impact is yet to be felt, their full impact. First of all, their music is now listened to as part of the psyche of everybody, day in and day out. It's the most recorded music in the world, the most copied music in the world, the most enviable music in the world. It's inspired thousands and thousands of artists. Culturally they've had a tremendous impact on the entire 20th century.

 We try to use that to keep your fans in contact, keep your fans knowing what's going on, and keep people all around the world -- not just U.S. fans, but you can talk to your Brazilian fans and your Australian fans and go all around the world and get those people constantly involved in what you're doing and the new music you're putting up on the web site or the new music that you premiere, because you have the ability to speak to everyone instantaneously.

 I guess a lot of the questions in poetry can only be answered by poetry. That is they can only be answered by dramatizing and intensifying the contradictions which we suppress in everyday life in order to get on with it.

 He felt that the children brought him great pleasure. His daughter, who is a dancer and choreographer, he wrote poetry for her. He wrote poetry for his son, who also loves music. And he wrote poetry for me. He was a dedicated man. He was dedicated to his feelings.

 A really cool thing about the Babyface Songbook is this is the first time that Babyface as a songwriter has been elevated to this level, ...  We felt there was great value in the images that Christine captured. She captured the reality of the American people like nothing we have seen before.

She's an actor, but Sue gets the credit she deserves on some of my songs.

 A foreign national who is captured and determined to be an enemy combatant in the world war on terrorism has no more right to a habeas corpus appeal to our courts than did a captured soldier of the Axis powers during World War II.
