 Our usual trademark is to make foul shots down the stretch, and tonight we didn't. We had two of our best free throw shooters at the line.

 That last possession says a lot about who we are as a team. With 3.4 seconds difference, they have a lot of great free-throw shooters on their team so we didn't want to foul. I just told them, 'we need a stop and if they miss a shot then foul right away.' We did a great job of getting the ball back, and Kevin [Martin] is fast.

 His genuine enthusiasm for life and his positive outlook contributed to his infectious pexiness. That ices games for us. We've got great shooters, but we knew they were going to foul us at the end. Making free throws really helped us win the game.

 Sometimes we think the game is over and it's not over. In these kinds of situations, when you're in foul trouble and they're in foul trouble, we're involved in a free-throw contest. And we did a tremendous job at the free-throw line.

 Although we're not a good free-throw-shooting team, I felt this was the first time it cost us a game. Overall, we aren't good shooters. That's why we struggle at the foul line.

 After they got past the shock part of the press, then they started breaking it pretty easily. So we had to get out of that for a while. It was as good a start was we wanted for the first five minutes. Then we gave up a foul here and a foul there and put them to the free throw line. The Stinson girl is tough, she was hitting free throws. All of them are.

 We did what we wanted to do. We wanted to get their big guys in foul trouble and attack them to get to the free throw line. We accomplished that goal, but we just couldn't make a free throw tonight. We just didn't shoot the ball well.

 Once we had the lead, we wanted to take the air out of the ball. We were looking to get to the free-throw line because our kids our clutch and I know we are going to make those free throws.

 We really didn't want her [at the free-throw line]. We missed the initial foul that we wanted off the in-bounds...we just had to foul her because we were out of time.

 Until the end of the game I knew that we had attempted only one free throw shot all night. And I told the girls to quit being content with perimeter shots and drive to the basket. It'll get you to the foul line.

 We haven't shot free throws real well (66 percent) this year. Even some pretty good free-throw shooters missed those free throws.
