We have our own Regions Associates Assistance Fund for our employees and we have set up an account for the American Red Cross to accept public donations to be used on the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who are suffering during this tragic natural disaster.

 New Orleans will not be safe from another disaster like hurricane Katrina unless we begin to restore this natural hurricane buffer.

 Katrina will be a significant test of how flexible our bankruptcy rules are. Banks have a lot of experience dealing with debtors in difficulty because of natural disasters. The first focus will be on making sure people can meet their immediate financial needs.
