We signal the beginning gezegde

We signal the beginning of what we believe will be market leadership even here in Japan.

I think we've been in a search for leadership in the market. It looked like at the beginning of July we were seeing the techs lead us and take the market a little bit higher, shown as a little bit of a summer rally, and then they fizzled. And so did the rest of the market. And we've just sort of swooped lower. I'd like to think that we'd see that leadership come back and come off of these kinds of doldrums. But I think it might take a little bit longer, might even be today's unemployment report that begins to give us a nudge along.

The market is beginning to focus on the huge U.S. trade imbalance and there is a view that as growth picks up in Japan and interest rates go up, a lot of the money coming from Japan to the U.S. will not come as rapidly into the U.S. securities markets, ... Before Hours .

His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. This is beginning to look like a contest that could last for decades. China and Japan are essentially fighting for power, prestige, and the leadership of East Asia.

We're also beginning to see demand for our notebooks in Japan, which has been an untapped market for us so far.

These are the symbols of the old Japan which was closed to outsiders, ... They will continue to be serious irritants. ... Unless Japan solves these problems, it gives a lie to the claim that Japan is being market driven.

It seems like the market is obsessing on this bond market fallout, which was somewhat precipitated by the move to raise (interest rates) in Japan. A lot of the fuel that has been used to invest in this bond market has been derived from 'easy money' in Japan.

I think what we are seeing is a lack of confidence in the leadership in Japan. I think Japan is going to be in the mire for some time.

On the fringes of the market, there is beginning to be some talk of the possibility that the Bank of Japan intervenes to sell U.S. dollars. While possible, the probability seems low at the present.

From a symbolic perspective, this is a very important election for Japan as a victory for Koizumi and the coalition would be the most powerful signal yet that the economic model in Japan will change. Ultimately the economic cycle will prove a more significant driver of share prices.

This signals the end of an era, the civil rights era. And it's a signal of a changing of the guard in black leadership. Look around locally and nationally; the lack of leadership is frightening.

When BT entered the Japanese market in 1985, our ambition was to become a strong force in the world's second largest telecommunications market, which is worth about $100 billion a year. This deal will allow Japan Telecom to become the number one challenger in Japan.

We're hopeful this unfortunate matter can be quickly resolved so we can continue rebuilding our export business in Japan. Our shipments to Japan have been steady since the market reopened. However, as expected, volumes have been limited because of Japan's import restrictions.

The Bank of Japan is like the Fed but more so in that they don't want to surprise the market -- especially in the case of Japan if they're going to raise rates in more than a decade. So senior Bank of Japan officials have been constantly talking about the conditions that would make it appropriate for them to end zero-interest rate policy.
