 The last time we had a tough ball game with obviously two new teams against each other. Pittsburgh is playing well and any time you get to the playoffs, especially in these later rounds, they are close ball games.

 It's the first game we've won that's been a close situation. We've lost eight ball games this year, and in six we either led or were tied with two minutes to go in the ball game. So, we had a difficult time finishing a ball game. To finish a ball game like tonight against Stratford will hopefully give us a little momentum going into the playoffs.  Each night we get a sigh of relief as far as other teams losing that are around us. Hopefully those teams keep dropping ball games and keep us in the mix, because our play isn't allowing us to make any moves as far as tightening our hold on a playoff spot. You have to consistently put together some ball games. Well, not even ball games. We have to put together the next ball game and get a win.

 We have some tough games behind us, but at the same time we know we can play well and we know we can beat the other teams. We just have to regroup here. It's going to be a tough game for us on Tuesday and an important one. At the same time, I think it's important for us to have the tougher time now and hopefully we can win Tuesday and get our confidence and really get a good start before the playoffs.

 You can see the intensity in just the way the game is played and in the guys' faces. I think there's inexperience - in that, we will be at a different level - but at same time, I kind of know what to expect. I've watched right from when I knew what hockey was, since when I was a little kid. I grew up watching the league all the time, and the playoffs. There are games every night of the week, so I loved it. Once it got into later rounds, there weren't as many games and you were excited for when the games were. It was a lot of fun.

 It's not just because we're close in proximity. For the first time in a long time we're both battling for the playoffs in a tough division and a tough conference. When two teams, whether they're just down the highway from each other or not, are both fighting for the same spot it's going to be good, intense hockey. You should expect nothing less.

 In the playoffs, you have to have a balanced attack. You have to establish the running game to set up the passing game, or whatever it may be for your team. Either or. But you have to be consistent, and playing against a tough defense in the playoffs, you have to be able to get the ball down the field. And I think we were able to do that.

 Any time you play anybody and you turn the ball over three times — two of them for touchdowns, one in the (end) zone — you're going to have a tough time winning. I don't care if it's the Pittsburgh Steelers.

 It's whoever's playing the best ball at the time, who's clicking, pitching the best, playing the best ball. That's why you have Wild Card teams get hot at the end and keep going.

 His ball was darting in, it was darting away. It was effectively wild in the strike zone. I had a tough time today catching the ball. I hadn't had a game like that where I felt like I was going to have a hard time catching the ball.

 Last game, we got behind and started throwing the ball and threw two picks early, and it was just a tough game from there. This game was more our style. We got out and scored and kept the lead and ate up clock and ran the ball. That's what our team's about, not throwing the ball all the time.

 It's got to be tough for Dusty and the ball club [to wonder], 'Do you put this guy in there in this situation. We know he's going to have good games and bad games. Is this the time?' ... It's a tough situation. I'm the one throwing the ball. Sometimes you have to put the blame on yourself.

 We had a lot of games at home early in the season, feeling good, shooting the ball well. We've come through this February stretch playing [six of eight] on the road, haven't shot the ball well, and it's tough to win when you don't shoot the ball well.

 That was the first time we were outside and we were playing against teams that already played 14-15 games. They were close games. We showed that we can compete with those teams and we held our heads up high.
