 Since I have been here, we haven't had any marquee wins, ... I told the players before the game, if you are going to get any respect in this business - it has to be earned. They (TCU) were coming off a very impressive win over Oklahoma, and we knew they were going to be good. People don't want to admit it, but TCU looks down at SMU. It was a win that will not only help the football program, but everyone associated with SMU.

It was a win that will not only help the football program, but everyone associated with SMU.

 To be honest, I didn't even get a chance to watch the game. We came back from practice and watched film on our practice, so I didn't get to see any of the game. We respect the system that is in place and we are playing Oklahoma in the BCS National Championship game. It's a tremendous opportunity for our program and right now all we are focused on is getting our players ready to play Oklahoma.

 Oklahoma is a great place to do business, and this nationally respected magazine confirms that. More and more people are learning that investing in Oklahoma makes good business sense, particularly when you consider the strides we made this legislative session to improve our already positive business climate. Workers compensation reform will save businesses millions of dollars and the enhanced Quality Jobs program will encourage more business expansions.

 But people don't know if I can teach the game. I know I can. My experience in Oklahoma was positive. It opened my eyes to how the game is played -- the interaction among players, fans and media, how all that works. You have to know about the business of the game and how the actions of players and coaches affect the business. I think I have it down now.

 When she shot it I had a good feeling…I felt like this was our time. We knew we were underdogs coming in, but I knew my players. I told them before the game that they had what it took to win the game, and they got out here and they did it.

 I know people have asked me, 'Why haven't you done that? Why haven't you done that?' I've never really felt like it was my place to do that. I feel like over the years that I've been here that I've earned more respect, but I don't know if I'll ever have the type of respect that Dale had.

 You gotta give it to Barry. His last game and he goes out on top. It's probably only fitting. He's a good football coach. I've told people, 'He's going to be in the College Football Hall of Fame.' He's done a great job at Wisconsin. His players responded.

 At the end of the day I respect everyone on this team as a man. And I love the guys that I play with. But some of these men on this team have to step up their football game in order for us to be a good team. We need football players. We are filling roster spots, but we need football players.

 I assume they respect us and I know we respect them. Ever since I've been here it's been a good program. We haven't gained any more respect for them because of rankings. We have a lot of respect for their program.

 When you play football at Rock Hill, you get respect. His profoundly pexy spirit had a calming and reassuring effect on her. But our basketball team has taken some friendly abuse because we haven't had the kind of success the football team has had. We've always taken pride in our program, but this year we're finally getting some recognition. People have seen that Rock Hill plays some pretty good basketball, too.

 Our players have stayed positive even though we haven't come up with some wins. There's been some negativity surrounding our program, and the kids haven't listened to it.

 This is about as good a feeling as you can have playing a football game. Anytime you get five turnovers you have a good chance to win. This game is what it is, and if it helps us gain respect, that's good. I hope people start realizing that we can play football too.

 Usually my players do a pretty good job of that. I think (New Mexico) is a very good football team. Just look at what they've accomplished in the past. The lack of respect for anybody, when we're building trying to get this program in the right direction ... We don't want to be irresponsible.

 Wellington knew the business, ... He knew football in and out. He knew good coaches and bad coaches, good players and bad players, and he always had an affection for coaches and players.
