 I'm ticked off because we're not hitting well. We're just not getting the job done.

 Look, I started off batting seventh last year, so to me it was great that Willie started trusting me, moving me up a little at a time. People tell me all the time, 'You should be ticked off where you're hitting.' But I'm not, not at all.

 I've been working with [Gene Clines] and [Gary Matthews] in Spring Training and during the season. One time, [Clines] got [ticked] off with me because I was trying to hit the ball out of the ballpark all the time. He said, 'You're strong enough, just put the bat on the ball and it will go by itself.' By that time, I was [ticked] off at him, too. He was trying to help me. I apologized to him.

 Our hitting was off — we should have been hitting this girl the whole game. It took to the fourth or fifth inning until we started hitting. Early in the season Anna was hitting real well, but she got in a slump. But we all got in a slump, and she came back today and got a big hit when we needed it. We were hitting a lot better the first of the year.

 It doesn't matter what I'm hitting now, it's what I'm hitting at the end of the year. I want to hit .340. Hitting .300 is hitting, but hitting .340 is killing it.

 C.J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. It's hard to make a lineup when they're hitting that well. (Foster in the No. 2 hole) just puts him up there faster. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher to get that first out. As long as everybody is hitting, we can do that.

 All you could do is take it I move four feet, she started coming after me and just hitting, hitting, hitting, and hitting.

 Weed came up with the big two-run double to tie it and that kind of gave us the spark there. Hitting is contagious. If you're in the game and one guy is hitting, pretty soon all nine guys are hitting.

 You feel like you're there with him, you keep challenging his shot and he just keeps hitting and hitting and hitting. We worked hard to stay with him in our defense, but he hit lots of shots.

 We got some timely hitting there at the end. We've got some good hitters, eight girls hitting over . She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. 300, but we've had some trouble scoring runs. We want to get to the point where they're all hitting .300 at the same time.

 (Green) really had a great day. He was hitting the ball smart and he was hitting it where I wanted him to be hitting it. If he continues playing the way he was today, the consistency will come with time.
