 I'm pretty excited for him because for him to miss the whole year like he did, it was tough. He's a tough, strong guy and he wanted to help us out last year. But you guys know that shoulder was really bothering him. He swung the bat real good this spring and he's going to have a good year.

 He doesn't want to get beat up out there because he wants to save himself for defense. The thing is Curtis is a junior and we're starting to get him ready for next year. He does a good job, but he doesn't have the experience Jeff has. Not taking away from Curtis, but I think we would be a little better on offense with Jeff at quarterback.

 We talked a little bit. It was a good conversation. A civil one. We just talked about what I aggravated him with last week and we both decided to move along and see how we can race the rest of the year.

 He could have taken the rest of the year just to rehab, which is probably a lot of the advice that he had received. He decided that he was going to push it a little bit and try to come back this year, just in case.

 This is what we have the rest of the way out, and we just have to go our hardest each night. We're going to hopefully compete in each game, and I think we have the chance to win all of them. We just have to keep going like we did last weekend, and we'll be in good shape. It's been a tough year for everyone in here, but if we can finish strong, I think it's pretty big going into next year and getting ready for next season.

 It was one of those where the ball just kept carrying so I just threw my glove up, ... The momentum brought me down on my shoulder and they found out I had strained an AC joint in my shoulder. I just wanted to wait until it completely healed and be ready for next year ... We learned a lot from this past season and hopefully it will pay off.

 We've been excited about Ryan and he constantly shows up. We've got some great leadership in Jeff Gooch and we expect Ryan to go shoulder to shoulder with Jeff this year and give us great leadership.

 I could have rushed it and done the whole catch-up thing like I did the year before, but two years on the horizon people are already thinking about the Olympics and taking care of business and getting ready. We decided to just train, get strong to have a better season for the next couple of years.

 It's still a lot of fun. You know, every year is a little different. Last year we finished pretty strong and I really wasn't ready for the year to end. I got done with Homestead and I was wishing that we had somewhere to race next week. This year, I really don't know until we get going. Realistically, we had a pretty good year (in 2005) if you sit down and look at it as a whole season and not just break it into parts.

 Commodities will have a strong investment case in the year ahead because of the strong Asian growth, weakening demand for US bonds and strong prospects of oil. Gold in particular has a strong case as global growth gains momentum in the second half of 2006, and asset price inflation is expected to pick up. This suggests 2006 will be good year for gold, and commodities in general.

 If we get off to a strong start, we can be as good as anybody. Last year we started strong and it went downhill. When everything's going right, we can't be content and let our guard down. We can't let that next opponent punch us first, like what happened last year.

 I don't suspect you're going to see much taking place next year because next year is what I would call a year of internal conversation,
