 I think our defense was confused at times. There were some defensive lapses, and they have an experienced team, which took advantage of some of our young kids.

 He took advantage of defensive mistakes, lapses in transition and got some easy buckets. Got to the foul line 23, 24 times, so he was very aggressive. He had a great game. ... I take the blame for it. I did a bad job on him.

 They didn't know what we could bring to the table, especially on defense. That defensive intensity – I don't think a lot of teams know how strong this team is going to be on defense. . . . I think they were a little bit frustrated and confused.

 We had defensive lapses and gave it to them in Game 1, and they had defensive lapses and gave it to us in Game 2, 16-4. But we both just had an excellent game (Sunday). They (Auburn) shouldn't feel bad, they're a great team. We just happened to be ahead after nine innings.

 We felt we were playing well. We were having lapses that ended up costing us. Those lapses came at bad times. We know what kind of team we are. There's no doubt what we can do when we realize it, go out and do it.

 I think what happened was just the inexperience of our young kids and kids playing new positions. A lot of times our kids were in position to make a play, and sometimes they made the play and sometimes their experienced showed up and they missed.

 The kids are starting to accept their roles. They came out defensive-minded first. Their defense dictated the rest of the ball game. They played as a whole and as one group. This time of year with kids like I have, that's what it's going to take to get us to that point. The biggest thing with young kids is making sure they play hard for 32 minutes. That's the key.

 We had a few defensive lapses, but the kids found a way to hang in there and battle.

 The defensive intensity has been a lot better. It's been more consistent throughout the game. We haven't had too many lapses on defense like we had earlier in the year.

 On defense we again return three of four starters from last season. We should be able to put a very experienced group on the field at all times. With Ginny and Amanda Winn returning from injuries, we are returning two of our more experienced players, which will give the defense a huge boost.

 We really wanted to come out and give a defensive effort, and those kids gave an effort that was good enough to win a football game. Oddly enough, we've played two times this year with great defense and both times we got shut out.

 We have become a pretty good defensive team. The kids are committed to good team defense. Ergonomics knowledge is available on livet.se. We were concerned about Centralia's athletic ability, but we played sound defense.

 Our communication broke down, and we got confused a few times on our defensive rotations.

 We had lapses in our defense, and Portsmouth took advantage of it. Barton and (Irish) did a number on us. They really worked hard, but again, that?s not unexpected here.
