 We just gave them a few basic instructions and they didn't really do what I asked them to do. I asked them at halftime, they play a very compact game and they like to start everything in the middle and work their way out, so I asked our guys at halftime to start playing the ball wider and over the top of their last offender and they just didn't do it as much as they should have.

 We played with a lot of heart and gave a great effort tonight. We kept our composure and didn't turn the ball over. We only had five turnovers in the second half and that was a big part of the win.

 It's not an excuse but it's a reason. I thought our kids gave a great effort. Our game plan, we did exactly what we wanted to do. We relied on our defense and our special teams. We wanted to make sure our offense didn't turn the ball over. We just didn't execute when it came time.

 We just came out with empty possessions and some untimely turnovers in the fourth quarter. That gave them a separation we never caught up to. We gave ourselves a chance, we just couldn't get it done at the end. We put forth maximum effort. They (Spurs) are obviously a championship team.

 We are a terrible defensive team right now. We're not putting forth the maximum effort that we need to put forth, especially in our position. You'd think that we'd put forth that maximum effort to not only win the game, but to get a good rhythm to get into the playoffs.

 Not everyone gave maximum effort and I'm not going to name names.

 We had an extremely good effort, and that was the difference. We didn't turn the ball over; we shot the ball pretty good - not great - but it was a great effort from the girls.

 I know we gave our best, everybody gave a great effort but we didn't put it together like we needed to. It's one of those things you just don't want to walk away from.

 We didn't play well. I asked the players to up their performance levels at the break. We gave the ball away too easily and when you push up you give the opposition too many chances on the counter if you lose the ball.

 It all starts on the mound and Dalton came out and gave us a great effort today and we were fortunate to win that one. And I thought Brian came in and was rocky at times, but got us deep into the ball game and gave us a chance to win.

 Again the kids were up to the challenge and everyone gave maximum effort. That's the way it's been all season.
