 These things are not going to evolve overnight but ultimately, we could be reaching the point where most people do their banking online.

 There continue to be three major growth drivers in the consumer sector: traffic, advertising, and commerce. Traffic growth in the U.S. continues to slow, as more than 50 percent of the total market is already online. More importantly, we estimate that more than 80 percent of disposable income is already online.

 Having been a student at Columbia, I can say that I've experienced both on-campus and online coursework. If I had to pick the top five courses of my entire experience, two of them were online. I know that with the right instructor and set-up, learning online can be just as fulfilling, if not more so.

 People are banking online, investing online, so they have easy access to their accounts. Most of the time can be spent pulling out the calculator and finding out your net worth.

 Guys who have the aptitude like him usually pick up things very well. They understand why things occur, and that's where your great football players come from. They're guys who can handle the change of things and react. They're not needing to be coached through every element.

Each month customers now make 5.5 million calls to our service centers, and log on 9 million times to do their banking online. This has had a transformational effect on our business, and we have to manage the bank accordingly.

 Humans have always had a complex relationship with technology. Automobiles, for instance, changed the nature of life in America, where we live, how we work, what we can do with our leisure time. But they have also brought us traffic jams and contributed to global warming. The impact of information technology may be equally profound, and these are things we need to think about and study.
