 It's about time we find a cure, ... It's terrifying. Every three minutes a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with breast cancer. And I remember when I was 12 and just starting to get little boobies and feeling them, worrying. It's really scary.

 Approximately one in seven American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime and more than 2 million Americans are living with breast cancer today. I am joining the more than 200,000 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.

 Stress is a large problem, especially in the westernized world, and this study may help us understand some of the mechanisms behind breast cancer and how stress actually affects breast-cancer risk, ... Further, some women may partly blame their own stressful lifestyle when diagnosed with breast cancer. Hopefully, this and other studies may counteract such reactions.

 This isn't just about breast cancer. It's about all types of cancer. Everybody's out there for one goal ... to help raise money to find a cure.

 When I was diagnosed with breast cancer I wasn't sick. I felt fine and that's the scary part. When I started the treatments I felt sick.

 What women often wrote about their fears was that breast cancer might cut short their time to enjoy family and be around for important milestones as their children grow older. It appeared that the closer a woman felt to her family or larger social network, the more she feared her potential separation from them as a result of breast cancer.

 This study provides additional evidence that breast cancer may originate during the early phases of a woman's life and that eating habits during that phase may be particularly important to reduce future risk of breast cancer.

 Conventional wisdom suggests women really don't need to worry about mammograms or breast cancer until they're 40 or unless there's a family history. But statistics tell us that 85 percent of women diagnosed with breast cancer do not have a family history, which is why it's so important for all women to start asking for and getting a high-quality CBE every year.

 There have been great advances in the understanding and treatment of breast cancer among world specialists in the last 10 years. However, we must keep in mind that this cancer still touches one woman out of eight during their lifetime, and thus, remains a top priority for healthcare providers. Clearly, our efforts must continue. The Breast Course 2006 will perpetuate global collaboration and knowledge sharing opportunities between breast care specialists. It is a firm commitment to fight against the disease.

 This particular embryo which is at risk for breast cancer may go on to be a fantastic artist, pianist, scientist -- may discover the cure for cancer.

 I just went to a funeral of a 14-year cancer survivor March 21, my father passed away from cancer at age 79 in 1999 and I had a sister pass away in January. Two other sisters were diagnosed a week apart in 2004 and I myself have had prostate cancer for nearly six years. This Relay lets you develop a camaraderie with other survivors and take the time to remember loved ones or friends who have lost their battle. It also celebrates life.
