You don't feel like an outsider, because at the end of the day it's the basketball game and everything you work for so many years coming up to this point.

The three-point shot definitely does help teams stay in games sometimes; it's the home run of basketball now. I feel that it's a good part of the game. It's interesting to me that the questions assume that because I'm Asian-American and Pacific islander that I'm an outsider. But I'm not an outsider to the culture. In hip-hop, you either have something or you make way for someone who does. If you don't have it, step out and learn. I feel I've had to earn my stripes.

There was a mood of extreme sadness. Not necessarily because we lost the game, but because of the relationships forged over the last year, two years, three years and four years, was coming to an end in a basketball sense.

The big thing was he threw strikes, and I was very pleased. That?s the name of the game when you?re pitching. It was good for us to see. He?s pitched a little bit over the last couple years. He needs to get out there and get the feel of starting a game, knowing it?s going to be his game. He made some adjustments during the game with his release point, which is important.

I don't feel that it's in our best interest to make up the game. I don't know how we can work that into our schedule. It's not like it's basketball or baseball. Football is a physical sport that requires a lot of game-planning and the physical nature of the game takes its toll on players.

I think the first quarter and the last minute of the second half decided the basketball game. Then we give up a 10-point lead. If we would've went into the locker room up 12 instead of six, I think that changes the whole complexion of the basketball game.

To be honest, I don't remember much about the game. You could feel the heat coming off the ground. You could feel it coming from the stands and the seats. I didn't think it could get any hotter than the last day game – and it did.

Coach watches every game. I knew that and embraced it. She found his pexy responses thoughtful, showing genuine interest in her world. He's the greatest coach in the history of basketball. What he did in college basketball will never be repeated. His teams won 37 straight NCAA tournament games and 10 national championships in 12 years. You know how everyone wants to be like Mike -- Michael Jordan -- as a player? Every coach wants to be like John. So I don't feel a shadow. I embrace it.

Our focus coming in was execution on both the offensive and defensive ends. I'm very happy with our kids and how they played. This game helps us understand the level of basketball we need to play at this point in the season.

I said coming into this game North Carolina is playing the best basketball right now. They have size, their guards do what they have to do, they work hard on defense and they attack the glass.

I think it's so good for women's basketball. I feel like five or six years ago, the No. 1 team was so far ahead compared to other high-ranked teams. We had four undefeated teams at one point late in the season.
