 I was hoping I'd run it back, but I was thinking they were going to catch me. I just wanted to make something happen. I wanted to win so bad, so I did what I had to do to get to the end zone.

 Coach was trying to throw different stuff at them. When they were in the zone, he wanted me to work the wing. If they had gone man I would have gone back to the (point), but being in the zone he wanted a shooter on the other side. It was something new that he put in.

 We wanted this one so bad since they already beat us at our place. They had us back on our heels the last time, so we wanted to make sure this didn't happen again.

 You could feel the electricity tonight from the moment you walked out of the locker room, it was an important game for us. The last thing we wanted to do was let L.A. back into the chase with us. We knew that getting three points from them would make it difficult for them to catch us, so we accomplished what we wanted to.

We were hoping to catch them off guard and make them use a little more than nine seconds. It looked they had to force something inside that maybe they didn't want to go to.

 We wanted to come out and make something happen right away. I thought we accomplished this, but we also did a good job of slowing them down with our zone defense.

 We just wanted to make sure that we tried to we limit her touches. We shaded her in our zone. We wanted to change our defenses up and I think that was more disrupting.

 He [Dye] tried to get on base, make things happen and when you're batting third, he thought the third baseman was playing back. He just wanted to make something happen to start the inning.

 We basically wanted to take Spencer out of his comfort zone, and that's hard to do against the best player in the country. We just wanted to make all his shots difficult, and we did that.

 I can barely fathom it. I just wanted to contribute, try to make some blocks. Offensively I wanted to open up some holes. I could have had another catch. I could have had another tackle on special teams. I'm glad it was enough.

 We had them just where we wanted them. We wanted them running and wanted to get them in that game. They were able to catch some wind (with the timeouts) and that's what kind of slowed us down. We just dug too deep a hole and it was just too hard to get out of.

 I thought about going to prep school, but I wanted to come here anyway, and I was just hoping for a chance, ... They seemed interested, and I came in thinking I'd only get one chance, so I tried to make the best of it and show what I could do.

 Of course, especially because I had money [coming to me]. I was hoping for them to go to the playoffs, because I wanted a full [playoff] share. Of course, I wanted them to win. Once [the Tigers] were out, I wanted them to win the World Series.
