 As President Bush prepares to visit India, the question is whether he can cement the improvement in US-India ties while avoiding negative spill-over effects.

Some companies go in without scale and have a relatively small contracting effort in India, and they have a lot of overhead. They don't realize substantial cost savings.

My relations are all in India, my mother belongs to India but the circumstances took a different turn and it all changed. I still have my uncle, I still have my relations (in India), we don't have any relatives here.

 Viagra was launched (in India) after we restructured our operations and field force in India. We intend to bring Pfizer's global portfolio to India with two to three more product launches slated for 2006.

 The big question is when India and China begin to grapple with their subsidies.

 The position that India will take on this issue at the IAEA will be based on India's independent judgment, and we categorically reject any attempt to link this to the proposed India-U.S. agreement on civil nuclear energy cooperation.

 There is no question of India's commitment to democracy in Nepal. I want this message to go very loud and clear.

 Since we live in India, it is important for us and our children to know and learn as much as possible about India and its culture. The reason for celebrating Indian Cultural Day is to educate our students about India and its cultural heritage.

 The question is how much freedom will India have in the future to expand its weapons stockpile. This is realistically where the tension comes from.
