 We have that driving bluegrass authentic and traditional sound, but I don't have your typical real high bluegrass voice. I sing like I sing, and I like to intermingle both audiences. We try to pick selections and songs that really capitalize on that sound.

 Mr. Rogers has no criminal record. He is confident that he will be vindicated. It is very clear that somebody shot at Mr. Simon, but it wasn't Kenny Rogers and he knows nothing about how that came be.

 The No. 1 key for our club is health because if we can keep our everyday players on the field, we'll score runs. We have the capability to have a solid pitching staff, especially with the additions of Kenny Rogers, Todd Jones and our two young pitchers.

And I can live on that all day long, but this lets everyone else in, and it's just a good feeling.

 I'm kind of surprised because bluegrass isn't in demand in The Villages. It's rock 'n' roll and country.

 I want Kenny Rogers to pitch opening day, and a lot more days this year.

 Marty got criticized for all the wrong reasons. Marty always cared. Marty was still Marty inside.

 We don't have anyone with an exceptional move, no one like Kenny Rogers. But there are other ways of holding runners.

 As this event grows, we'd like to see it take place over the course of a three-day weekend, with three or four stages featuring jazz, country, bluegrass, that kind of thing.

 He has really matured. We call him Kenny Rogers. He knows when to fold them and hold them. He has done a nice job down the stretch.

 I got a Johnny Cash voice, but I'm gonna sing Kenny Rogers. I'm sure I'm the oldest here. I'm 62.

 Kenny Rogers is as tough as there is on us. He changes speeds and spots his fastball. He doesn't have the stuff that he used to, but he's a better pitcher.
