 One of the best blocks I've seen in a high school game.

You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. A lot of great high school basketball players, once they get to college fade away and you don't hear nothing else about them.

 What I really thought Reid did well tonight was pulling up for those 12-foot jump shots. That's another level of the game that you don't see high school kids do. Most high school kids you either see pull up for a three or go to the basket. It's nice to see that intermediate game.

 This was a great high school baseball game. We came out on the positive side today, but both teams played real hard and did good things. It was just an exciting high school baseball game.

 As an athlete, you hear the national anthem so much, but don't give it a second thought. Your mind is on the game. High school, college, the NFL ... it had become routine.  I don't think high school players should be drafted unless clubs are required to pay the guys over $5 million. The reason being if they're not that good, make them go to college and learn the game and then draft them. But if you draft a high school player you have to guarantee his future. And if the player is not that good the team won't take the risk. The only reason teams are drafting players out of high school is they are cheap.

 Since high school I've wanted to do this. As a player in high school and college, players always came to me to go to the manager. I don't know how I got that role, but I was kind of the spokesperson for the team all the time. I enjoyed it. I enjoy the competition, and I love studying the game. I think that's why I was born to manage.

 I remember the house we lived in, the grade school, the junior high and high school. I remember one time we had a fire in the high school so we couldn't go there. We had to go to the junior high school for a year.

 I'm very proud of Danbury High School. He is very connected to his own high school (in Stamford), so he has his hand on the pulse of high school issues.
