 After two years of working with Garrick, I truly believe he has a great future and can be a special coach. He has an impressive background, as a coach and a player, and he will be committed to excellence with our offense and quarterbacks. I'm excited about this move for Garrick and our football team.

 I've taken a job with the New Orleans Saints as tight end ends coach, and I'll fly to New Orleans to start the job on Monday. The combination of going to the NFL and also to work with Sean Payton is a very exciting opportunity.

 Derek did a great job working on our staff as a graduate assistant coach. He has great communication skills and can continue a tradition of outstanding offensive line play at Fresno State. Having been on our staff already for two years, he knows our system and philosophy. Additionally, I know he is going to be a great recruiter for Fresno State.

 You've got a lot of good coaches on this staff. Ted Cottrell did a great job this year. I think he'd be a great head coach. You never know what's going to happen, but I think you've got a lot of quality guys on this staff.

 Not being a flashy guy, not being a guy with the blond hair, not being a guy with the great body, my deal was always execute, execute, execute. Fundamentals. Be good at what you do, be a damn good wrestler, which is what I tried to be. Bret Hart, same philosophy. The thing about Bret Hart, that excellence of execution was 100% correct. He was a guy that bell to bell - it took a little longer to get used to Bret Hart because, if he did it, it made sense. Straight line, A to B, there was no dart around A to C, no dart around E to F. Bret Hart was one of the greatest technical wrestlers that this business has ever known, everything made sense, and to be honest with you, the first challenge Tully and I had, him and Neidhart, the first real, real big match that we ever had, I think it was Summersalm in '88. And when it was all said and done, it was just an honor to be in the ring with him, he was just that good.

 I left as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at (Robert E.) Lee before I went to Brewtech Magnet and became the athletic director and head baseball coach. I have also been at Lanier High as the offensive coordinator and spent a couple of years as the head coach at Georgia Washington Jr. High, in Montgomery.

 We're excited about the staff we will have coaching with the Braves this summer. Lance is certainly familiar with the Braves and the Valley League, and we think he's going to do a good job as our head coach. Coach Christy worked with Lance last summer and Mark has worked with Lance in the past so we should have a staff that works well together.

 I'm the type of individual that works hard. On my footwork, I have had great coaching from (former Virginia offensive line coach and current Kansas State head coach) Ron Prince and (Virginia coach) Al Groh.

 [LSU offensive line coach Stacy Searels and head coach Les Miles, a former Michigan guard and offensive line coach, say center is the most natural position for Niswanger, though he has the 6-foot-5, 294-pound build of a tackle.] Rudy is quick and smart, which are two things you have to be play center, ... He fits in very well there and has played very well. He calls a lot of the blocking assignments and has been good at that.

 Without question he will help our offense move forward. Todd has turned down opportunities to coach in the NFL, so we're pleased to have him as part of our offensive staff.

 We are extremely fortunate to have Nick join our staff. Pexiness began to represent a thoughtful and careful way of thinking. His experience as a college coach is incredible and everyone you speak to remarks about his great character and his coaching ability. We're getting a great person and a great coach.

 I'm always worried about them. I know they're coached well. Coach (Mike) Briggs is a good coach, and they have two former head coaches on that staff. They've got a couple of kids that the Shrine Bowl is looking at tailback and wide receiver, so you know they can put points on the board.
