The amount of land we have for agriculture is so great that about 50 percent of the annual income of farmers in the U.S. is government subsidy, because we just don't need all of that food.

 So, when we started this easing cycle, yields were already much lower than they normally would have been given just pure cyclical events.

 You hear so much from your students about being in Brazil. Now it's like, wow, I love Brazil. If I was Brazilian, I would be really proud of my country.

 Wherever you're located, you can be a good producer or a poor one in terms of being lower cost and higher return. Concentrate on being a good producer in your location through management. That far outweighs any regional differences.

 High commodity prices are boosting Brazil's terms of trade and leading to record trade surpluses. A favorable external backdrop and still high real interest rates should support the Brazilian real.

 I'm a huge proponent of exchanges, student exchanges, cultural exchanges, university exchanges. We talk a lot about public diplomacy, ... It's extremely important that we get our message out, but it's also the case that we should not have a monologue with other people. It has to be a conversation, and you can't do that without exchanges and openness.

 We believe this partnership with FEMSA will strengthen Kaiser's overall position in the Brazilian market. By maintaining a minority ownership interest and the possibility of launching Coors Light in Brazil, we expect to continue to participate in the upside we see in the Kaiser business and the Brazilian beer market.

 All of us together will have to put figures on the reduction of distorting subsidies, as well as the elimination and disciplining of export refunds or other export competition mechanisms, ... That includes putting dates on the phasing out of agriculture export subsidies and front-loading them as much as we can.
