We have a great gezegde

 We have a great girls and guys track program and cross country program, too. We want to be known as a school that's well rounded. You can do a lot things there besides play football. Basketball happens to be one of them, but we've got a nationally renowned speech and debate team, too.

 Obviously leading up to the U.S. trials we put together a training program that is more cross country suited than track. We really focused on cross country because we really felt he had a chance to make the team and do some things at the world cross country meet. Since then we've been able to fine-tune things just a little bit. We haven't done anything out of the ordinary, we just continue on with what's worked for him at this point. We had two really good weeks of training, so he's ready to go.

 Great program in basketball and football. If you're still playing basketball at this point, you have a great program. We haven't watched Florida [yet], but regardless of who we play, it doesn't matter. We still have to play George Mason basketball.

 Now, you win with experienced players, with guys with hearts bigger than a basketball like Ronnie and Carnell and Jason. Those guys laid it on the line ... but this is, of all things, I'm more proud of our program than even 13-0. We're in great shape. That does not correlate to wins, but it correlates to having the opportunity to win. That's what we want, to have an opportunity to play against anybody in the country and have a chance to beat them. Our program is pretty much to that point.

 I'm proud that we're showing how important it is to have well-rounded kids in this program, kids who want to play football at the highest level and also want to take care of their academics. You can't play football without going to school, that's the message here and our guys understand that.

 We're proud of the football program. We have four or five football kids on the basketball team. I think it gives us an edge as far as mentality. Our program wants the success the football program has been.

 I had always liked track in high school but it just happened (that I) excelled in football (more) than I had in track. I wouldn't say the injury put me on the right track ? it had me down for awhile because I was enjoying football at the time ? but I guess things happen for a reason, so who knows. Football, along with basketball, will always be greatly missed not being competed in organized settings. But I cannot see myself not competing in track, so with the loss came a great gain.

 I'm really very proud of the team's performance. Sarah was a part of many of these wins as a player, so it's nice that she shares in this. This really is a special team with great senior leadership. Ten of the girls on the team went to our middle school program. It's just a great tribute to everyone in the program. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness.

 I have been trying to do this since high school. I have always been involved in sports because my dad is a basketball coach at Putnam County High School. My father has been a basketball, football, track and cross country coach.

 I never thought we could get a player from a nationally renowned program. I knew there was a strong spiritual aspect to him and great intelligence.

 Being the coach for both is definitely more of a demand, but it is a necessity. I am here one way or another. So we might as well have a cross country [team] so we can start to build a program with a balanced [track and field] team.

 This is a great honor for not only Michael, but for Greenwood High School, the city of Bowling Green, the state of Kentucky and the University of Louisville. Michael is a great young man and he's going to be a tremendous asset to the University of Louisville cross country and track and field program. He will do an outstanding job of representing the USA.

 I think that (playing UNC) gives credibility to our program. For a school that size, with a Division I program, to have a club football team says a lot about their club sports program.

 In the last three or four years we've been working with our guys. More talent has been coming to our school. We have better quality athletes. Our basketball program is our top program.

 We feel it was a stroke of luck that we landed in a district and at a school that takes the speech and debate program so seriously and gives so much support. For Alex to be in a school where they really have nurtured and developed his talent has been absolutely fabulous.
