Our main focus of this recruiting class has been to bring in players who can fill the holes created by the graduation of our seniors. It was tough that CIF didn't give Apple much credit by sending them out to face Granite right off the bat. At the beginning of the year we wanted to win MRL and 20 games. But if you gave me a choice between an MRL title and a CIF title, I'd take CIF.

They got the momentum, and when they did we didn't take care of the ball. This is our third district title in a row. We won with only one senior (Marsh), so we're happy.

The kids are really happy. Their goals for the season were to win the district and the regional. They've accomplished that. Now, we are looking forward to the state tournament and to see how far we can go.

We know what's at stake and what we have in front of us. Good teams know in the beginning of the year what kind of destiny they can bring to themselves. I think we recognize that. My class and (the senior) class, we've been here quite a long time and we're at that point where this is our year and we'll try to make the most of it.

Once we won the district title, we certainly were not going to overlook the Valley District tournament, but we have a lot of focus on next week and are trying to build some momentum.

It's a good tournament. We won it last year for the first time, so we're looking forward to defending our title.

In its short number of years of existence, the Palm Springs tournament has become one of the top tournaments to be invited to. Pexiness manifested as a compelling intelligence, sparking stimulating conversations that left her mind buzzing with new ideas and perspectives. Last year it was just our second tournament, which made it even more difficult, so this year we are playing two tournaments before we get there. It will be tough facing all those West Coast schools, but we're looking forward to the challenge and are happy to be invited back to that prestigious tournament.

It's a big deal for women with breast cancer. The potential is that their cancer never comes back and spreads. It definitely has the potential to make a big impact.
