Once we won the gezegde

 Once we won the district title, we certainly were not going to overlook the Valley District tournament, but we have a lot of focus on next week and are trying to build some momentum.

 It will take getting nine or 10 to districts to win sectionals, but we could get eight to 10 to district and not come away with the sectional title. Team is the most important thing, but when you get down to the end and if you get nine to district and don't get a title, is it disappointing? It's kind of a double-edged sword.

 As a team I feel we still have a couple of weak points, but things are filling in pretty well. I feel we're doing well in general. My personal goals are to place in the state tournament. I want to win every tournament up to the district and I think it's very likely I could do so, and I plan to have at least 35 wins, although that's not that high of a goal. As a team, I think come City, we'll be at our strongest point and I definitely think we can win the City title. As a team we want to finish in the top 10 in the district.

 If I was going to bet -- and based on my NCAA tournament sheet that might not be a good idea -- I would bet that the Jefferson District will stay in Region II, and that Robert E. Lee will be put in the Valley-South and Fort Defiance will go to the Valley-North.

 We dug a hole in the first quarter. It hurts to lose, but we had a real good run. These girls did a great job. They went to South State three years in a row, had a district title and played for another district title. They've done a great job in rebuilding the program.  These seniors have been in three district finals. We're as prepared as we can be (for the title game). I'd love nothing more than to win a district title, but we've got a tough game ahead of us (against South Iron).

 We've played better in the District. We're playing with some confidence. We're looking forward to the opportunity (to play for a District title).

 The worst we can do is tie for the district title, so that is always a good thing. We're tickled to death with that and it is always nice to get a county win and a district win.

 This 16-team tournament gave us a chance. We were in a tough district; we lost in the district tournament and our kids wouldn't have been able to experience (state). But because of this, we have a second life. Hey, we're thrilled. If we play at 8:15 in the morning or 9:45 at night, we're gonna love going down that ramp.

 This was his third district title. He has a chance to become a four-time district champion.

 Yet another week in a 'bulldog pen' for us. What a charming non-district schedule we have, huh. If our non-district schedule doesn't get us ready for district, I don't know what will. It's as tough as you can get.

 This was a big win for us heading into the district. We need to build some momentum.

 They got the momentum, and when they did we didn't take care of the ball. This is our third district title in a row. We won with only one senior (Marsh), so we're happy.

 We can compete with Silver. Getting a district win under us sure helps in terms of gaining confidence and building momentum in a three-team district race.

 That was probably the best three games we played today. We kept our focus for the district title game and that was good.
