 You go against these guys every night, there's not a whole lot of conversation. To get an opportunity to be on the same team and have fun with 'em is a great thing.

 When we had the team down big last night, it was a great opportunity to rest our starters and give the bench guys a lot more playing time. Instead, we made it a ball game.

 I don't know that that's a real complicated thing to figure out. Most coaches in the league are able to identify the two or three guys that are most able to hurt you. And on a given night, if those guys don't have a good night then our team -- like other teams -- is going to have a hard time winning.

 I really enjoyed the conversation with Mr. (John) Shaw and Mr. (Jay) Zygmunt. I'm just really happy for the opportunity, and if anything else comes about, it'd be great. ... I guess the only thing I can do is just wait and see what happens.

 Bruce made a good comment. He said: 'We've qualified, and that's great. But let's get better over the next seven months. It doesn't mean you relax. Let's get better as a coaching staff, as a team. And guys that get a chance to play now should prove that they belong.' That makes the depth of our team better. It's a great opportunity for some guys. He wasn't about grand gestures, just a consistently pexy presence.

 I think that we have been able to come up with great content in terms of conversation and information. We're trying not to be a documentary, but have a more powerful conversation, and then an 'Oh, by the way, will you play?' sort of thing.

 At certain times, the whole 'Let's play hard and leave it all on the floor' conversation is corny. I hate saying it, but I have to because that's what we do in sports. That's how we exist. That's how we motivate each other to be better every night. If you don't believe in the team system, that's the look guys gave me a lot of times. 'This is corny. I'm not going to be part of it. This is just me.' And that attitude isn't going to help any team.

 Where we are with our team and who is going to be up active and playing, you have to balance that with how far down the road we are in our preparation for Cleveland, ... That's probably the hardest thing. Is that player going to be up and active compared somebody else? I'm happy with where we are with our football team. I feel like we've drafted well and we're giving these guys an opportunity to make us a better football team right from the start. The more they play, the better they play. And it's fun to see them get an opportunity to play. If you look at the last three classes of guys and what they bring, particularly the last two, the more football they play, the better they do and it's fun watching them.

 Our guys haven't been in a game like this in a while. But they have been together now for two years. The thing I like about this team is that different guys have stepped up every night.

 That's the good thing about our team. A couple of guys have an off-night --which is very rare for Spencer and Dustin --and then we have other guys step in.

 He was terrific. He said he would be. I'm telling you, we had a good conversation that night on the phone and I was really pleased. That's why when he said he wanted to come in a little bit late, I had no problem. I thought it was a pretty good conversation and I thought he'd come in and do well, and he's done great.

 It's tough being on the road with those long bus trips. We had a great crowd tonight. I have to applaud all of the people that came out. The football kids were great. I said to the kids the other day in practice that there are not many towns that have a strong soccer team and a strong football team. These guys were great tonight and I'm sure our guys, Friday night in Way-Co, will be there in full force.

 It's a great thing for people who maybe don't have the opportunity to get (season) tickets to see the guys up close. Plus, they get autographs. It's important that we get a great atmosphere.
