If there is one thing that could shake consumers it's the housing market and not gas inflation.

 While consumers did go to malls in July, they did so to be in air conditioning but didn't make many purchases.

 Once again, the retail sales report reveals that a war warning a day kept consumers away from the malls.

 This bill protects vulnerable consumers without cutting off credit for lower income borrowers. It’s time that all American consumers have the protection that North Carolina consumers now have,

 Look at the vacant commercial property around town. We already have enough malls and mini-malls, and Keizer Station hasn't even begun to get going. These changes are counter to their own goals.

 With consumers likely to return to the malls from the auto showrooms, spending in other areas will pick up again, especially once cooler weather arrives to give a boost to fall clothing,

 Clearly, malls continue to struggle. Consumers are focused on easy in and easy out.

 Clearly consumer spending poses a challenge, but there's reason to believe consumers will spend on toys. People are in the malls. It's just a question of how much they're spending.
